Yeah, it gives you more of a midpoint color to start with, and then you can lighten with white pencil, or darken with marker. It's a bit different than working on plain white paper.

I just wanted to drop a note that I've put a few newer pieces up on my DeviantArt page. One of which being bonus art that I did for Frumentar, which was seemingly lost by the US Postal Service.
The most recent was a Zatanna piece for a friend's site, the Nude52, which I won't be posting a link to, but it's on my DA page, and if you know how to use Google, you should be able to find it.
