Backgrounds
I have done enough characters, that I think it is time to learn how to make backgrounds. This is one that I did that is called...
Red Deserts. It could be Mars, or Earth.
The detail is the shadows that are cast off the mountains. Lighting is important, and so is the distance of that light. I threw in Power Girl just to have a point of reference. She is flying.
Let me know what you think. I am working on one with water, next.

Re: Backgrounds
Here is a nice little lake, in the middle of mountains. Notice the way the refection of Kara is shown in the water, but not perfectly due to the ripples she makes from walking? And how her cape seems to drag behind her, in the water?
Again, comments are appreciated.

Re: Backgrounds
I'm kinda on the fence... I mean your character models I like and I can see the progression you've made since the very first one. The background seem very... cut and pasty. I could do without.

Re: Backgrounds
Would be nice to see some trees or a city with cars and people in the background sometime :P but that could be too much work

I agree, it is a little like that. I am learning a new program, and this was my first time trying it. It allows me to input my renders into it. That is why it looks out of place.
I am working on more details, but right now I was playing with lighting and reflections.

Re: Backgrounds
The first background I can see the shadows on PG but not the one she casts on the ground. Because there was little or no interaction with the environment, it feels off. The second one is better, showing her reflection in the water, so it appears the model is in the environment. Keep up the good work!
