The sealing.

Home
Image

For most around the world, it is a place to be yourself. It is a place to relax amongst family. It is a place of calm.

To Inazuma, home was the misty, hidden islands off the coast of Japan. A place of secret worship, constant training. A place of nightmares, and the place where he turned from a boy, to a host. A place where he slaughtered a hundred of his own kin, and a place where he learned all he knew.

Home was a distant cold place. This crossed his mind as he boarded the private jet, and flew across the beautiful night sky, on his way to return to this home for the first time in years. They looked at him, they always did, the same thoughts crossing there mind as the men from years ago. "This is him? I expected more. I bet I could take him." Inazuma couldn't read minds, but he knew the look in a mans eye, when fear turned to strength.

The jet was a little favor from a comrade of his back in Korea. To this day, chills ran up his spine at what he did in Korea, but one thing he left with was an ally, in the form of a man named Mister Hu.

Thoughts swallowed his clouded mind. He knew he was walking into his former hell, but he also knew that no other people in the world held the same techniques of demon sealing as the people who worked on him that fateful night. If he wanted to fix the tearing seal keeping Raijin pinned within him, he had to find them. There was no doubt in his mind that he was walking into a trap, but whatever his home had in mind for him, he would send back at them ten fold.

He arrived in Japan in a few hours. He had a citizenship in almost every major country in the world, thanks to the many strings pulled back when he was working as a mercenary for the corporation that controlled him. From there, he took a meager, discrete boat out to the ocean. He knew the coordinates of the island, but it wasn't until he came right up on it that it was revealed to him. The cloaking mists prevented the island from becoming discovered for all these years. It was as if it was its own plane of existence now.

Until now, the sea had been calm, the skies had been pure and serene, but now, as Inazuma got a glimpse at where it all began, something inside him stirred. No, it was more than just something, it was Raijin, and he was angry. The voice boomed out in his head. "These pigs are the ones who enslaved me in you. I can feel it in the air. Tell me I'm wrong" *He roared within Inazuma. Anger washed over Inazuma, and for the first time he realized it was not Raijin's anger Inazuma felt, it was his own. He once had drifted so far from humanity, he thought it impossible to come back, but now he had learned, he had grown. This was the end of his life, this island. All these feelings flushed in Inazuma, the calm persona he had maintained was broken, and a storm gathered in the sky above.

It was time for a little payback. The storm flushed and grew, and a lightning bolt hit the water nearby with a huge, waking CRASH, followed by the echoing, powerful BOOM of the thunder. Inazuma cast a glance over the island, and set his course.

Re: The sealing.

Inazuma stood on the edge of the boat as it neared the island, and for a moment, the entire world stopped for him. It was time, he thought, and then the lightning bolt hit. The boat imploded upon itself with the power, the bolt striking right upon Inazuma, enveloping his body into it, and in the flash of a eye, another bolt struck the mainland. It was a new trick he had learned, able to ride the storms, and even ride the electric currents of the city, but today this newly learned trick felt easy, his body trickled with power, and flowed energy. Today, at least for now, he and the demonic god within his body were one and the same, and Inazuma could feel it. The resistance, when it came, was futile.

The flash of lightning and the boom of thunder was heard and seen across the island. Whatever was coming, was coming hard. They had sent in a small army of men to intercept their subject, but when they came to take him, they were annihilated. This was his home, and as he tore the island apart, part of him wanted to stop, the human part, but he was not in full control of his actions now. Many men were reduced to ashes as they were hit with the power Inazuma held, a demonic gleam in his eye.

For a while, his goal was lost to him. His memory was dulled by the screams of his former captives. This was to become a pivotal moment in the still young Inazuma's life. As he stood now on a hill, over looking the destroyed villages, the piles of bodies, and the ashes scattered in the wind, it was only then brought to attention the terror he had inflicted. "Do you not see what power you can hold, child?" The demon within taunted and poked, wanting to keep control of his host, but it was to no avail. The will of Inazuma was returned, he had remembered his vow he had made all that time ago, the vow he had made only to himself, the vow to one day control the demon inside him. He had destroyed enough, it was time to seek the sages, and pray for forgiveness.

He ascended the mountainous hills native to his home, night had fallen as he began his journey on foot. This was not something he could use his power for, this trek had to be made as a human, as Inazuma. He soon came across a small clearing. Upon it rested a gorgeous oriental temple, a majestic full moon showering the night sky with light, and a few spotted areas of foliage.

The sages had been a part of the sealing process. They served as guardians and seers of his people. They were the leaders of the island people's way of life before the tyrannic militaristic men moved in to conduct their experiments on the gods of old. He had no doubt they had witnessed his slaughter, and no doubt that they were ready for him. He did not plan on a fight, he was coming for peaceful matters. The seal was breaking, that much was clear, and the weaker it got the less in control Inazuma was with his power. His life meant nothing in the long run, but he served as a host to a god now, and if the god was free to use Inazuma's body how he pleased... The world would have one hell of a issue. And so he stepped up to the temple, not out of a sense of self interest, but in a hope that he could put the beast within him to rest, before he was a threat to the world.

In a moment, he was upon the great oaken doors. There was no door handle, or anything of the sort, and it would not give in to either a push or pull. It could only be opened from the inside. Just as he began to look around for another opening, the great doors creaked, and then slowly began to come apart, revealing a dim light protruding from within, and as the opening widened, a grand corridor filled with candles and other ceremonial objects. Red silken tapestries lined the wall, and in the center of the gorgeous room, three large stone chairs sat against the walls, seated in them, the three great sages. He had never been this close to the temple, much less seen the inside, and he had never seen the sages either, having had the demon sealed in him whilst sedated.

They had the eyes of humans who had the knowledge of gods. Their skin glistened with energy that would have kept the room lit even without the candles. Their hair, two men and one woman, were tied back into intricate and ornate fashions, and had come to the point of a serene grey, the point at which human wisdom was shown simply through the hair alone. They were clothed in what could only be thought of as the most beautiful and ornate of robes, fashioned from silk, woven with golden strands. They looked as if they were gods themselves. As he peered over them and relished in their presence, they only offered the simplest of smiles to greet him, absent of words.

He had heard the rumors of these ancient sages, that they too hosted spiritual entities like Inazuma. For a moment, he questioned if he too would end up like this some day, if this was the only way to control the demon with in. Before he could finish this thought, the smiling entities before him spoke... Well, something of that sort. A voice soon wove itself into Inazuma's mind, and it was clearly theirs. They spoke as one entity, though three voices could be heard from the one.

"Welcome Inazuma, bearer of the seal, host of Raijin." Their voices combined to be heavenly, the trio's combined voices forming a frequency that sent chills down Inazuma's spine. He was looking at three humans alone, but one god combined, and it put him in his place instantly. Before he came here, he was untouchable.. but these people could end him with ease, and he knew that. Remembering his teachings from what seemed to be a eternity ago, Inazuma would give a light, cordial bow to the elders. "Hello" He would mask his boyish nervousness, carrying on with the tone of a man. He was at a loss for words, but continued regardless. "I've come to.." And then he was stopped. The three's smile grew as they continued his sentence "fix your mistakes. Recover the seal. Control your urges, power, and the demon within. We know, child."

He was now truly speechless. These entities were all the legends made them to be. He began to utter something of a apology for the things he had done outside, but was silenced with their calm, harmonious voice. "A hundred men of tainted souls may need to fall in order for that of a pure heart and infinite power to rise. You are a phoenix, and you will rise from your own ashes, for that is the destiny of those called saviors. Step closer to us child, and douse your hands in the liquid of the ancients." He did their bidding without question, planting his hands into the energy filled liquid. "Now apply it to your forehead" They would say, and he would follow. Instantly, his mind was relaxed, calm, and serene. It was as if he had been meditating for hours. Their voice resonated in his head. "Now strip your shirt and lay down on the table" They would say, the tone so calm and gentle he would follow it without question once more. His shirt he had been wearing was pulled off his skin, revealing a slightly scarred body, and a great seal placed upon his stomach. As he climbed upon the ancient stone tab, chills were sent down his spine.

In a moment, his hands were bound by a force that was not physical. He could feel his hands moving down, and locking into place, but it was more of a energy holding him down, than hands, but as he opened his eyes and looked up, the three sages were around him. Two were holding his arms in place, and casting a locking seal upon his body, disallowing his muscles to move in any strenuous way. The third was examining the seal. Had he been in this position only a moment ago, he would have panicked, tried to break free, but as it was now, he felt as if he belonged here, and felt calm. The third sage, the woman, ran her fingers upon his stomach. Her fingers were smooth, and her touch sensual upon the sensitive flesh. Power ran through his body as he fingers ran around the length of the seal, and as she looked up she gazed into Inazuma's eye. If it were any other being on this planet, he would call this feeling he had in the pit of his stomach "love" but that is not what it was.

The sages had surpassed human evolution. They had become one with gods of old, and had the same aura around them the old gods, the good at least, had. Her touch, her gaze, and her aura all gave Inazuma the feeling of love, and it was only with his powerful will that he could keep it at bay. He knew it was not love, she was simply so majestic and godly he felt as if it were. Shaking the the thought, which she could surely read upon his face, he waited, and soon the voice entered his head, this time it was the voice of only the female. "Open your other eye, Inazuma. You have nothing to fear, not even Raijin has control of you now." And so he did, without questioning why. His eye slid open to reveal the powerful, but now dulled, yellow eye of Raijin.

The demon roared and bellowed within him obscenities and curses, howling at the sages to let him free, and although Inazuma could feel the shouts within him, the true nature of the words were lost to him. It was as if he was in his own world now. Soon, he fell into the deepest meditative sleep he had ever been in, though both his eyes remained open.

Re: The sealing.

The voice of the trio of sages entered his head as he drifted off, and spoke calmly. "This, is but the calm before the storm child. We can only do so much, but only you have control over your fate. Tonight, you fight the demon within. Should you prove successful, you will leave here connected with him and as one... should you lose, you will no longer exist. This is the only way to seal him, child." *The voice bounced around his head, and for a moment he contemplated this, in the deepest recesses of his mind.

As a child, when the beast was first put into him, he had done everything in his waking power to quell the threat. As he grew older, he grew angry with what was in him, he tried to fight it, tried to beat it, but never to any true avail. He had always only escaped his own mind with his life, only able to subdue the demon, but never beat it. Now... now was his chance. He was infinitely more powerful than as a child, but something about him still feared he would lose, and fade into non existence. He questioned, for a moment, if the Sages could handle a rampaging, demon Raijin, but pushed the thought from his mind. He was not going to lose, he was going to tame the beast once and for all. Should he do this, he would be more powerful then he ever was. Now or never, he thought, and faded into his own mind, preparing for the onslaught...

But it never came. He waited, trapped in his own mind for what seemed an eternity. Practicing, meditating, waiting. The three phases repeated themselves over and over, and just as he began questioning if he was even alive anymore, a pair of yellow, snake eyes appeared in the distance. As he drew closer, he distinguished the eyes. They were what he had been waiting for. The forgotten demon Raijin was here, and it was now or never. Denkouhimesama, he thought, and his blade appeared in his mind. Raiju, he thought, and his companion appeared at his side. This time, the beast was organic, not steel. A true wolfen guardian.

And then, his entire body was formed from the black abyss. His skin took on a blueish hue, reminiscent to the blue lighting a bolt of lightning sometimes takes. His eyes were brighter and more powerful than a thousand bolts of lightning, staring at them caused pain, and fear. His beard could only be described as blood soaked. It looked as if it had been dyed in the blood of all the men, women, and children he had devoured, and if you knew who he was you would believe that. Clouds gathered around him, and as he spoke his voice boomed like thunder had just hit.

"Child, here to face me at last? I have sought this day for ages, it is my turn at a chance of freedom." His voice would bellow out. He expected a easy fight, he was in about to be knee deep in his own miserable assumptions, for Inazuma had no plans of making it easy. Alone, Inazuma could do nothing against the marvelous god. He would be like a fly to him, but that is not what the situation was. This god was placed in HIS body, and should he amass enough will and strength to do so, he could dominate him. This was a fight to reclaim his dominance, reclaim his control. It was a fight he could not lose if he kept his mind powerful.

The first blow in the fight that would last a eternity exploded life into Inazuma's mind. The flash of life brought about new terrain, new memories. The god and the boy clashed now upon the winding fields of the island. The sun shone brightly above in the sky. SLASH, Inazuma's blade ran across the almost metallic skin of the god, followed by a sonic boom as the god rocketed Inazuma through the fields of his memories. They terrain crumpled, as as Inazuma came to a skidding halt, they were now fighting in a different field. He recalled this area, it was on the night he was taken. Storms gathered over head, and rain poured down hard, and in the eye of the storm the boy prodigy known as Inazuma was still practicing. Pain overtook him, and soon the demon was upon him. He had taken on a more human sized form, and pinned Inazuma to the ground. SLAM, a blow hit his ribs hard, shattering a few. SLAM, the fist hit his head hard. He was losing, and bad, a scream poured from his mouth that would stop Raijin clean in his tracks "ARGHHHHHHH." The voice boomed across the rolling plains, tearing through the rain. "I WONT LOSE ANYMORE"

The air changed in that moment, the silence only holding for a few precious moments as the demonic god Raijin gazed into eyes even more terrifying then his own. And then a deafening CRASH rolled across the wet fields as a bolt of lightning slammed into the two. The scene exploded, and in a moment it all changed. Their positions were swapped, Inazuma stood pinning the god Raijin to the floor, one fist raised, and looked around. Bodies piled up around him. Everyone he had ever killed surrounded him, blood, guts, and more lined the floors. A room of red, though Inazuma, and glanced down at Raijin.

He realized at that moment that it was not about winning. He would never, ever win this fight, because it was impossible. The goal, was to create a sense of bonding between the two. Striking Raijin down now, though entirely in his power, would be entirely pointless. He had transcended a small, meager stage in his life, but it was monumental none the less. Standing up slowly, he would reach down, extending his hand to the demon. For a moment, arrogance flashed across the gods face, but as they locked eyes an agreement was unfolded upon them. His hand locked around Inazuma's, and soon he was standing alongside him. Then, his eyes opened, a breath of life inhaled into him deeply.

He was different, he could feel it. The power was the same, yes, but he felt it now, he felt it run through his system. As he looked around, there was no one there anymore. Glancing down at his stomach, he would see a freshly made seal, and nod, understanding what happened. The rest was up to him. The next few hours were lost to him. He was so involved with his own subconscious conversations with Raijin, that his conscious actions were blurred. He opened his eyes, and glanced around...

Home, or at least a sanctum for him, for now. He stretched in his sheets, and sat up. Everything was different... everything. A smile formed on his paled lips, and he reached to his nightstand, grabbing his novel. He had been saving the last few pages just for a occasion like this. He finished within minutes and set it down. Two chapters in his life closed. It was time to get to work.
