Did Supergirl go Rogue? (Concluded)

This area is for IC news and actions only. No OOC posts here please. If you have OOC things to discuss about the event, go

Supergirl Gone Rogue OOC

Supergirl Wanted for Murder!
That was the headline the next day. But how did it happen?

Eyewitness' accounts state then There were several sonic booms over the city yesterday. That is not in itself, unusual, but the fact that they were in rapid succession was. A man by the name of Tom Belling was watching the even thru his telescope. He told the reporters, "I was just getting ready for a project with college, when I heard the sonic booms. I looked up and saw a black blur and then a blue blur and then... I am not sure what I saw."

After that there was an explosion in the Lieber, Gretchen and Fowler, Law firm. Apparently Supergirl flew through the building and crashed in the park. But this is where it got interesting.

More eyewitness accounts. Jennifer Katz was in the park with her two children when she spotted the Girl of Steel step out of the crater. "She was smiling and waving as she got out of the crater, but then all of a sudden a man took a picture of her. In a blinding flash of blue and red and Supergirl was standing behind that man and holding his heart."

So does this mean she went rogue? After that the Maiden of Might looked up and flew up in the air. Some say they thought they saw a shadow move around her, when all of a sudden she flew down in another blur of blue and red and decapitated three people. Gregory Paint had this to say.

"She moved faster than I thought anyone could and all of a sudden when she stopped, three heads were at her feet and she stood in the blood. It was like she must have killed them all."

But pictures real that she had no blood on her hands. Perhaps she was too fast to get blood? We may never know that because a creature flew down and started to eat the bodies. Supergirl knocked it way and it flew off. Then she was surrounded by police. The Captain on the scene, Captain Mike Broody was in charge. He tried to make her surrender but for some reason, Supergirl fired heat vision and killed him and his long time friend and hostage negotiator, William Greer, when their car exploded.

Photos would reveal that her eyes never seemed to turn red though. Although the police stated that she has powers and how are they know how they work? Supergirl was fired on by the MCPD after that and she protected another woman at the scene. After she was done though, she flew off. Her partner was taken to Stryker where she will face trial in three days,
But the big question is, where is Supergirl? She is wanted by the MCPD and a reward was posted for $100, 000.00 for any information that would lead to her arrest. Superman was not reachable for comment and the Justice League refuses to give us or the police any comments on this tragedy.

Somewhere in Gotham's East End, a lone figure looked out of the window of a shabby apartment.

Frumentar's issue of the Daily Planet lay on a makeshift table, with the infamous headline emblazoned across the front. "Supergirl Wanted for Murder!"

This wanted the first time a superhero found themselves on the wrong side of the law. Metropolis was going to become a super-charged magnet for super activity. Heroes trying to find to take down an iconic member of their subculture. Villains taking advantage of the media's coverage to cover their own activities or legitimize their assassination attempts on Supergirl.

He was no meta, but Frumentar wasn't going to miss this. Whoever was behind this, every hand needed to be on deck. He walked out the door, activated his safehouse's "silent mode," and activated his propulsion system. It was going to be a long flight to Metropolis.

She needs to be brought in. With so many innocent deaths possibly on her hands, Supergirl is now on the JLA's most wanted list. Lower power members of the League are advised to steer clear of her until either Superman or case officer Jaeindir are able to make contact.
Be advised, possible confrontation between these individuals could result in extreme violence.

"Well, this is bad..."

In his shack of a basement, Blaze read over the news. Supergirl supposedly charged with multiple cases of murder. "Monsters arrived quickly, and there were no red eyes." He began to, as usual, sort through his list of suspects. Sipping his mocha, he flipped through the pages of tomes he had. "What I need to do is find her, this other one is brash, prone to assaults...finding her would be no problem. Now, what could I face? Morph? Clone? Maybe something android-ish?" He then re-read the counts of shadows, and added to his clipboard: Possible possession, monsters indicate a controller of some kind. Magic most likely cause, spiritual unlikely.

"I wonder what monsters those were, that might give me a clue...."

This part is IC. I will add an OOC area so that the players are not confused. So this is what your character would know just from watching news. More to follow on what Justice Leaguers know as well as those that have secret connections.

Supergirl on the Run!

Not only is Supergirl wanted for the murder of three innocents at the park and 2 officers, but the next day more chaos. We take you to GNN newsroom where it is the big story of the hour.
Today at noon, EST, a convoy carrying the believed accomplice, Adora, was attacked. Spectators said they saw a blur and the van she was in and a police car fell over the bridge on their way to Strykers penitentiary. A battle ensued moments later, with Supergirl and police officers. She seemed to fire heat vision at a van and destroy it, killing 4 officers and wounding 2 others. The footage shows that, once again, her eyes were still blue though. Normally, she has red eyes when using that power. But it also shows that the heat vision itself did seem to appear right in front of her eyes.

She then proceeded to fly toward one of the Science Police Elite forces helicopter. A moment later and she smashed through the tail of the vehicle and then flew into the water.
Two other heroes were on the scene at the same time. A demon known as CorpsLoto and a speedster, named Night Flash. It was unclear what Night Flash was doing there, until he and the demon moved toward the water, where a water spout cyclone had appeared. Eyewitness accounts stated "There was a blue blur inside of that spout." It is believed that Supergirl created this water cyclone and was moving toward the police forces. At this point Night Flash and the demon seemed to break the funnel and a woman was seen carrying Supergirl in her arms. We found out that the woman in question was a police officer, but no details have been released at this time.

Eyewitness at the Midtown MPD

"Yeah, they took Supergirl in. A detective carried that unconscious alien in and brought her to the cellblock to await a trial. We planned on moving her to the Watch Tower as soon as JLA showed up." This was what Sgt Kyle Williams stated.

But the trial never happened and the JLA never showed up. Instead another witness stated, " I saw a blue blur and then she was in front of us. I never even had a chance to draw my weapon and a laser fired from her blue eyes and cut down 3 of my friends... I mean officers. Just cut them in half and nothing but boots remained. I mean what a fu- " We had to cut off the officer due to the languages used and his temperament.

But after that, officers opened fire on the Girl of Steel, and much to her credit. Nothing happened to her. This is when she had an argument with several officers and then fired heat vision at their weapons and flew through the roof. At the same time this happened, the demon tore the cell doors off and freed one of the prisoners, who is still at large.
It should be noted that the only time we saw her eyes flash to red was with the weapons being destroyed. Is this a new power of hers? To fire heat vision without her eyes turning red? Only Superman would know the answer and he is still unreachable. Justice League Public relations is still keeping silent about the whole issue and we wonder what they are covering up.

Eyewitness on top of a skyscraper.

Angela Clean was working on top of on an AC unit when she heard a sonic boom that was followed by another. She then saw Supergirl tackle a woman in red and white armour and a jacket, into the roof. A battle ensued and both combatants seemed to be hurt. But at the end of the fight, she noted that Supergirl was about to finish off the woman when all of a sudden she stopped fighting and fell to her knees. She decided it was too dangerous to continue watching and left at that point.
So what is the Girl of Steel up to? Is she now responsible for the death of 14 people? The Justice League is staying very quiet about these instances and right now there is an APB out on Supergirl and her accomplices. At this time it should be noted that Night Flash is not wanted, except for questioning. CorpsLoto, the demon, is wanted for helping Supergirl escape custody.

If you are watching this Supergirl. Turn yourself in. You are too young to handle this on your own and the police only want to help you make this right. We will continue to bring you coverage as it happens.

Justice League files to follow

Justice League Files

Subj: Supergirl Gone Rogue
Details:

It is unknown why Supergirl has decided to go on a killing spree at this time. Details are sketchy at best from camera footage at the park and from eyewitness accounts. What we do know is that when she moved at super speed there was a black blur directly in front of her. When we slowed down the camera, we could still only see a blur. So if it was anything, it is faster than a Kryptonian. Flash is investigating this part.

Another thing we know is that her eyes never changed red from seemingly firing het vision at the officers on several occasions. GNN speculates that she might have learned to use that power without giving off any signs. The way that a Kryptonian focuses makes this near impossible and Supergirl is not trained well enough to use her powers like that, if she could. Superman stated that she would have to concentrate so hard that her eyes would, at least, show a red pupil. Footage shows that her eyes not only stay blue but she had a surprised look as well.

Batman made note that the heat vision in the photos seemed to originate away from her face, and in some cases, almost a foot away. More research needs to be done to know the exact specifications of Supergirl's powers.
The details on the attack on the police convoy are also sketchy. We know that Adora, an ex MDP officer, was being transported to Strykers, when the van swerved into a car. Details about the van do show that the driver was disintegrated by some kind of laser, from behind him. It could be heat vision. But if that was Supergirl, how did she get in the van? There was no sign of forced entry, but there was an exit where Adora escaped.

Supergirl was on the scene though, but we believe she got there after the van crashed. If that is the case, we still don't know what happened in there. What we do know is that the destruction that followed was similar to the attack at the Centennial Park. Her eyes never changed red and a black blur was in front of her as she seemed to be chasing it. Again, it was too fast to get on camera.

There is one thing of note about the blurs though. One of our trusted agents, non affiliated with JLA, Alleph Null had this footage.

The footage reveals that the blurs themselves, when subjected to electricity, seemed to reveal a woman. not only that, but when several of the blurs were around, they seemed to heat up. It was not like a Kryptonian though. The temperature was much hotter. We are not sure what this means, but we speculate that they were trying to create a portal of some sort. The odd thing is they just stopped and 12 blurs dispersed into thin air. But they were headed toward the downed chopper, at the scene. The officer in question, seemed to be fine though.

We will continue to monitor this situation. At this time, if you encounter Supergirl. Beleive her to be EXTRMELY dangerous and to contact backup. Do not go after alone. If she will come back peacefully, then try to talk her into coming in.

Kryptonite is NOT authorized. Do not even consider using it at this time. Superman has specifically left instructions that she is not to be harmed and only incapacitated, if she can be. But right now, she is not a criminal.

Metropolis Municipal Center

This footage was from cameras from both the building in front of the courthouse and the courthouse itself.

There as a black blur in front of the camera and then all of a sudden Supergirl was seemingly appeared in front of the Metropolis Courthouse today. Her sped was, as usual, barely able to be picked up on camera. When she landed, she looked like she was looking for something or perhaps someone. Her eyes were hazy blue for a moment and then back to normal.
Captain Glory was in the area handing over two men he apprehended over an earlier shooting. He was unavailable for comment after this incident though.

He approached Supergirl and a few words were exchanged when all of a sudden, Supergirl was pulled toward the pillar by a woman-demon. She struggled and looked like she was in great pain. (The footage was blurred where Supergirl's skirt was hiked up, since she was being dragged by her foot.) This was when Captain Glory grabbed Supergirl by her arms and proceeded to pull her back.

A blast of some sort hit Captain Glory though and sent him hurtling into some dumpsters. this was where the cameras lost track of him.
Supergirl was pulled closer to the woman demon, when she fired heat vision at her feet. But the woman demon kept pulling her to her. Now a black blur appeared for an instant, that might be a shadow, and it looked like Supergirl fired heat vision at the two pillars. It should be noted that once again, her eyes never changed red. The damage was almost enough to topple them.

At this point, the demon woman pulled the Girl of Steel to her and threw a fireball of some sort at the weakened structure, causing it to topple over. The overhang on the courthouse then fell on top of Captain Glory. Luckily he survived and pushed the ruined structure away from him.

The camera at the courthouse was destroyed in the destruction but the camera across the street did pick up the demon woman talking to Supergirl and then Supergirl waving to Captain Glory and just flying off.
