Doctor Vrarrl

Name: Vrarrl, Edsol

Height: 6 ft

Weight: 178lbs

Hair: None

Eyes: Grey or luminous orange when employing his psionic gifts.

Age: Unknown. Claims to be seventy four years old, though this is unverified. Appears to be a male humanoid with light greyish skin in his mid thirties.

Known Aliases: None

Occupation: Psychologist and Researcher, sometime 'supervillain'

Legal Status: No record of anyone named Vrarrl exists on the attendance record of any major university in America or Europe. Subject also has no record of residence in any country.

Physical Status: Unknown. Vrarrl appears to be naturally Ethereal, though he demonstrates the ability to assume a solid form at will. How this is accomplished is unknown. It has been postulated that he as a 'ghost' or some other form of 'undead' though this has never been confirmed. He has demonstrated the ability to pass through solid matter without difficulty, and ignore effects that are purely physical in nature.

Brief History:
Edsol Vrarrl came to the attention of Lexcorp shortly after the events of Braniac Invasion. He was interrupted during at the Metahuman Sciences wing Lexcorp was funding at a Metropolis hospital, gathering the accumulated data present there. During the altercation, he subdued security and disabled the on site defenses with little apparent effort. Luthor had him followed and presented him with an offer, funding his 'research' in exchange for the use of Vrarrl's unusual skill set whenever the need arose. Vrarrl agreed, and proven himself to be luminary mind in the field of psionics and human genetic augmentation. When questioned about his origins and overall lack of either a professional or private record, Vrarrl explained that he was a traveler from 'a little further down the dimensional arc of the constant'. He claimed that his dimension of origin had suffered some kind of calamity of cosmic proportions and that he was among a tiny numbered of survivors that had been flung to different dimensions as a result.

To date, this has never been verified.

Known Abilities: Vrarrl is clearly a Master Telepath with a dizzying magnitude of abilities. He has demonstrated the ability to cause mass hallucinations, edit or erase the memories of large groups of people, employed psionic domination and long term suggestion, created psionic duplicates of persons in the minds of normal humans, and demonstrated the ability to terminally overload the neurology of a subject with a thought.

To a lesser degree, Vrarrl had demonstrated significant prowess as a telekinetic as well. Capable of lifting up to fifty tons telekinetically, Vrarrl has expressed disappointment with his telekinetic gift, finding it 'inelegant' and 'clumsy'. He has demonstrated the ability to erect telekinetic defense fields, attack an opponent or opponents with telekinetic bolts and waves of force.

Roleplaying Notes:
Vrarrl regards himself as a scientist, and a student of the universe. His research focuses on expanding the power of the human mind (or more specifically his own mind) and bending reality to the shape of the will alone. Though he often appears remote and disinterested, he observes his surroundings with a constant critical eye, always looking for the next revelation or inspiration.

He is domineering and arrogant, though often in an understated manner, and has little time for the emotional antics of what he refers to as 'these small, common creatures'.
