The Superpower Registration Act
I posted a news broadcast in the news forum called The News Heard Around the World. I have a villain, named Desiree Saint. She is a mentalist and is looking to gain control over the world. Her plan is to have the humans rise up against superpower beings and force them to be registered and monitored at all times. She intends to rile up the human population of the world to turn against the superpowers of the world.
I expect this would be a long standing RP and can be in the background of any other RP going on. Please feel free to ask questions and lets brainstorm how we can fit this into our RP world.
Thank you!

Re: The Superpower Registration Act
I'm hoping this is not forcing everyone to be in this, because some people might not want to be a part of it.

Since when has anyone ever forced you to RP? This is an idea, and you can go with it or not. I personally like it when people show initiative and try to get the community behind them. I have always RPed that humans are touchy about heroes, anyways. This is just another step to make RP fun.
Stop reading into it to much, sheesh.

This is the 9th attempt at this ( that I fully remember) so without trying to come off as rude or anything, I'm not coming along on this ride.

Re: The Superpower Registration Act
I am in no way forcing anyone to participate. In fact I am open to suggestions on how to alter the idea or expand it to encompass more. Perhaps it can go in a different direction all together.
My real intention is for my character, Desiree Saint to be one that throws obstacles out for heroes and villains alike to overcome.
The SRA just seemed like a good place to start as it would encompass both sides of the coin, hero and villain.

Re: The Superpower Registration Act
I'm not trying to be rude about it either, and I agree with Sound. I just don't want this to be crammed down my throat with someone saying that all of my heroes have to register.
I'm not saying Pers will do that, but it could easily become that way if not played out right. Just be careful about how you play this. I'm gonna be honest, something like this is HUGE for RP. It's not something that can just be whisked off as a small side story, it affects everyone.

Re: The Superpower Registration Act
I totally appreciate the heads up Beam! More than you know. I am not going to push this on anyone. Only those who wish to participate will. If someone is not interested in the story arc they do not have to participate in any way.
Like a comic book, the story will center around those who wish to be part of it.
If there is not enough interest in the story arc then it will be put to bed and I am sure I will come up with something else. No worries.

Re: The Superpower Registration Act
Thanks for thinking of us and sharing your ideas, Persuasa. Reminding people that you can't really be -forced- to do anything in this community but that some things are encouraged... it would make sense to me that there would be a faction or a voice for registration. It may not succeed or get very far, but there would at least be someone out there making noise about it. I'll make mention of it where I can.
Thanks again for sharing.

Re: The Superpower Registration Act
Thanks for clearing it up Pers! It's an interesting idea to be sure, just an idea that I've heard a lot of people have abused in the past.

The problem was the past tries is two fold.
1. The people only focused on heroes, and mainly on mine in JT.
2. The people that ran it, quit the game or moved to another character. Something like this takes real dedication to make it a thing.
Fix those areas, and the idea would really flourish.
