Tahys Crime Scene One (Tahys Murderfest RP for Black Canary and X)
Gotham, Burnley, 4:45 am.
It wasn't a big house, mostly your average two floor house. Though, it was lined off by police tape, with two or three officers outside keeping an eye out. And just so, Detective Thomas Becker would arrive by car, followed behind by both X and Black Canary. As he stepped out of the car, Becker was met by one of the officers. "Detective Becker, come to take another look?"
Thomas shook his head. "Nah, Gordon wanted some vigilantes to take a look at the crime scene. Officer Warner, this is Black Canary and... Gas Mask Guy." He told the officer.
The officer nodded at the two heroes, and turned towards the door. "This way." He told them.

X didn't bother correcting the man. After all, he didn't honestly care who called him what, as long as he was doing what he was supposed to. He kept his hands shoved in his pockets, following them as he stopped to look at the outside of the house. He was looking at the windows and the roof. He looked for points of entry from the front. Were the windows shattered? Unlocked? Was there a chimney? He observed for a moment, before stepping inside the house after the male.

Dinah rode behind the detective, and the teen. She was not sure about him yet, and figured she would have to take care of him. So she kept an eye on him, when they rode up. Stepping off her bike, she pulled off her helmet and placed it in the side compartment. She then walked up to the others.
"So this is where it happened?" She looked around the area. "This is where the family was murdered?" She noticed the way the bushes had grown against the house. It would be easy to break in that way, with no one on the street seeing it. But this may just be after the scene. An old case meant evidence was gone.
"Can you tell me what happened here? In detail please. I need to know more about this man we are dealing with. I am not usually doing the police's job, but I think if I understand why he did this, I might be able to track him. So any detail, please. Even the smallest might give me an idea."

The officer nodded. "From what we know, the lock on the back door was broken. The husband was killed on the second floor bedroom, the wife was killed on the living room floor, and the kid was frozen to death in the freezer in the garage. Evidence has been really slow on getting the stuff, so most of the evidence is still there. You can go and take a look if you want." Becker's phone rang, and he answered the call and talked for a second before looking back at the two heroes. "Gordon needs me for something. Take a look around and see what you can find!" he told them, before he went to his car and drove away.
The officer at the front of the house opened the front door, and let the heroes inside. "So, where do you two want to look first?" he asked once they were inside. "The garage, the living room, the second floor bedroom, or the back door?"

X was already walking inside when he let them in, examining the lock. He sighed as he turned towards the man. "Let's take things one step at a time. He came from the back after breaking the lock. So the living room would be the first step, I would assume. So let's take a look around." He glanced over to his temporary crime scene partner, seeing if they had any objections to the notion.

Dinah looked around the place, and at X. "From what it looks like, this was a hit on the father. The mother was an opportunity kill, and the child... well I think the child hid in the fridge. I am not even sure the killer knew about the kid. If he did, why wouldn't he just kill him? Putting him in the freezer would mean he never saw the pain in the child's eyes. If this man is the psycho we all think he is, he would have tortured the child. But from what it looks like, he was just hiding where he thought he was safe."
She looked in the living room. "The mother was the first to go. Since the back door was broken in, we can assume the mother heard this and was either downstairs already, or came down to investigate. The father may have still been asleep, or was not really ready to deal with anything. He was killed in bed."
Dinah walked around the room, looking for signs of how the killer left. "Officer, was the front door open, when you got to the scene, or was the only sign of entry from the back door?"
She then spoke to X. "One thing bothers me though. Most killings like this are from people they know. So did this man know the family, or was this just a random house?"

X listened intently to the scenario she was recreating, and looked to the door. He could definitely see the man coming in this way, but.. why would the mother not wake the man up? It's very possible she didn't, but.. why?
"They said that when the neighbor got here, the door was open. She would've mentioned it being the back door. Meaning the front door was most likely the open one. He had to have left out the front. However, whoever this killer is, he isn't some psychopath. Well, to a degree. He's sane enough to be capable of easily taking out multiple police officers."
He then perked his head up, angling his face towards her, before lowering it again. "I doubt it. There's no correlation between the victims that we can see at the moment. This family, the college kids, the police host party.." He shook his head. "A quiet night at home, a case of college love.. or a study session, and a quick party.. this man has no pattern.. unless you see one." He crossed his arms neutrally, looking back to her.

The officer looked at Canary, and shrugged. "At this point, we don't have any connections between the killer and the family, or even why he did it." He pointed towards the living room. "The living room is this way." He said, as he led them to the living room.
The living room wasn't moved much, the TV was still on the ground with a large blood splat under it, the blood dried on the carpet. One of the lamps was knocked over on the floor, and there was a smashed glass coffee table by the TV. The backdoor was also in the living room, and if they took a look at it, they would notice that it had been broken, but it didn't look like it was broke into. Rather it looked like it had been broken outwards towards the outside of the house.

(I heard it was my turn to post so I could fix the post order or something. Sorry for posting early! I was tired and dumb.)
X stayed silent after his comment as he crouched down, staring at the blood. The killer was obviously.. creative. He must've found comedy in making the body look like it did in the photographs. "Have you dusted the TV for fingerprints?" He somewhat wanted to know if the killer was wearing gloves or not.
