Re: Canons That You Shouldn't Play

It's not against the rules to play as any of these characters, but it's a warning that if you play one of these characters you're probably gonna receive a lot of hate, whether it's behind your back or in your face.

But, I'm nice. So, if the moderators or admins suggest I take a character off, or if someone is able to stay committed to one of these canons and actually do a decent job that is fun for everyone, I'll take it off the list. This list does not say you can't play as any of these characters, but it serves as a warning for those who want to.

If Carson stays committed to the role, I'll take it off.

Staying commited and actually pulling it off are TWO different things.

So far this Bart Allen looks like he's been played by Arnold Schwar.. something german Terminator.

Re: Canons That You Shouldn't Play

I'm just a messenger, I don't enforce this rule/guideline. I'll have my own opinions on it, but if I see evidence that the character may be a tad bit too advantageous (for example: Time traveling like a terminator basically means you know everything that will happen in the future. Even if it is a possible future, it's still the future, and it can ruin some roleplays) then I may put it on.

But that's my opinion. I should've put Bart on there when I made the list, but I had completely forgotten he was a canon. I do not hate Impulse, he is not a bad character, but most of the Flashes and related are going to be really hard to roleplay for just anyone, not to mention they might anger some people.

I might be seen as a hypocrite for saying that considering I play a speedster, but I'm not playing as a speedforce speedster, my guy has limits.

Like I said, I have no problems with Bart or Carson, it was simply something I overlooked that I should've put in, and had forgotten to put in until Rose reminded me.

As for pulling off the character, that's based on perspective. One person might see a character's personality different than another. The point is to play the character to the best of your knowledge as how you would play them, there will always be people who will nitpick at a player's rendition of a canon. Hell, I've seen some people nitpick on PG once or twice, and they will remain unnamed. I really think this has more to do with commitment than pulling it off.
