•-Ups, downs and back again-• (Concluded)

(Disclaimer: This rp takes place after Here and directly before the in game RP Aint no mercy in the City )

//With Zero being dispatched to work door at a Nightclub in Gotham. Scythian had appointed the hood ambassader to pose merely as an employee. Awaiting a patron to arrive wearing particuliar atire.//

-Purple Hat Club,Gentleman's Lounge, Gotham-

Smoke swirled about the hallroom, as music pounded in methodical choosing. Synchronized to the swaying hips, hair twirls of various nearly bare nude dancers. Though the main stage housed a comedic Performer with Ventriloquist dummy. Ms. Peyton Riley's performance had been far from talented. But club owner Mitch Kowalski gave her a shot anyhow. Mostly because he felt bad for her. Her frame was perfectly curvy, but the facial scars she suffered would more than appall his spending customers. So offering her a dance job, or even cocktail waitress was out of the question.

The club had a decent draw. Though a grimey section of town. It fell at the cusp of Gangland territory. Though officially upon Burnley House claim. It made a spot for Hoods collections. Hoaever, the Rileys, Yakuza and a few other factions tried to press in anyhow. A vice gripe of stress for the proprietor.

With the evening nearly underway...the establishment awaited its new hire Doorman to arrive suitably soon.

Zero arrived at the club. He knew of the place, had even been there for a drink on one of the busier nights. But as large as he was, he makes it a point to be forgettable.

His mask covered the lower portion of his face as he approaches the large doors to the current doorman. In his low, gruff voice, Zero grumbled. "Here for work." He said. He wore a sports jacket and black pants, which came in stark contrast to his pale skin. It was surprising to find a jacket that fit him, but he made due.

Nondescript, wirey and tall was the Doorman. (If familiar at all, He formerly did work for the Iceberg Lounge.)

"New hire, eh?" The man asked Zero.
In the background the Puppeteer act had a dead crowd. Neither paying attention, nor responding to her jokes. All accept one soul in the front. A well dressed fellow. Golden blonde hair, touched while pale graying age. His features were confident and fit. For a middle aged man. He seemed to 'well to do". But as Mz. Rileys act accentuated, her character "Sugar" saw only the apple of her Puppets eye.

Zero nodded. "Yup. Told me I was to work the door." He said, towering over the small man. "Doubt there will be any need for another person here." As he spoke, he looked past the doorman and at the puppeteer. "Wierd show for a night club." He said, speaking his mind.

Turning back to the man, he continued. "Anything I should know about?"

Glancing back, the Club doorman shrugged off the The Ventriloquist.

"Dont let cops in without hassle. Dont let minors, or wasted morons even cross that sweet threshold right there." He points to the entry, cynically.

"You let in anyone packing...you own the offense. Its on YOU, hombre."

While the security man informed Zero of the very obvious. The Performers single admirer left for the exit, passing Zero and the other.

"Good night there, Mister Orchard sir...." the doorman suddenly said, distracted by the Patrons exiting.

"Never let that guy get hassled in this club...ever. um...and oh, yeah...if anyone comes here looking for money....especially them Hoods guys...dont take them directly to Mr. Kowalski. Understand?" The slime of a man instructed, to Zero ironically.

Zero nodded. "Got it. Keep scum out, don't bother the regulars. You act like this is my first rodeo." He said and took his spot at the door.

Glancing at the man, he tried to see if he matched the description he was given. He didn't seem to, so zero would wait for his target.

"You got it My boy...you get the deal...oh...yeah, another thing......, hey...whats with the Mask? You got a fear of germs or somethin'?" He asked.

Meddling forward in foolish conversation, the man may have not been Zero's focus. And when the patron exoted, by the name of orchard
His description not what Scythian had supplied. In fact neither was the doorman...orvSNYONE inside of the club.

Zero looked past him into the club. "My mask is my business." He said and looked around. Not seeing anyone that met his discription that he was given. "So what was that... Mr. Orchard guy? Why is he so important."

Dismissive in reproach to Zero's firm but to the point reply. The scoundrel doorman backed off from the humongous newcomer without hesitation, or further pressing.

"Eh...small talk is all." His hands open and up, pantomiming a theatrical surrender to illustrate his cynical response to Zero's firm reaction.

"Fair enough..." he continued, then redirecting attention towards the doorway at the patron Zero referred to.

"Orchard? Oh, hes old money...well...trust fund baby i guess. His parents are invested around town i guess. Mr. Mitch just recently started taking in that sort of yuppie !@#$ on the regular. Hipsters, if ya ask me?" He explained. His eyes darting around. Clearly the man, had an ear to the gossip and rumor of the establishment. (But at what point of valid fact was out for debate.)

With Stage clear, and music shifting between songs. A new arrival of entertainment begun. The near nude go-go dancer girls exited their side stages and went to the assumed dressing room. As the lights dimmed crimson in hue. A slower, bass heavy yet still exotic dance worthy beat introduced the next performer. Clearly a strippers entrance. With that, as well as the crowd suddenly showing their attention, and anticipation. Turned to watch the young woman arrive in a deceptive and very cliche "naughty" nun outfit, at center stage pole.

The announcer declared "Sinful Sydney", at which point the crowds cheering jeer, and cat-calling muffled out whatever else was to be said of the Strippers number.

Zero never cared for strip clubs. His heart always felt terrible for those girls. He knew that some enjoyed the attention, or were doing it for money. But he couldn't help but to feel like bashing in the skulls of anyone who would disrespect them.

Turning from the nun, he looked back to the scrawny man. "Orchard is a... uncommon name. And one I seem to recall. I'll keep an eye out for him." Zero said.
