Re: The Garage Cantina- Hardcore Station RP

A basically lawless, moon-sized space station, where slave trading was legal? Opticara had a presence there. A platoon of Koven warriors and Mauler's even had an entire hangar bay to themselves, where they shipped and transferred slaves.

But the pigs were muscling in on her business. They had been stealing shipments during transfer, and Opticara wanted revenge on them. They'd dented her profits, and some of her men were getting restless. They relied on the slaves to feel something other than emptiness, so when they had no slaves to torture, they began to question Opticara's leadership.

So Opticara sent out an order.

The pigs, who had invaded the bar, were matched, one to one by Opticara's Koven warriors. Then 2 to one. Then Opticara entered the room.

"Boys, boys, boys, boys, boys. My pretty sweetkins... You've been stealing from me..." She fired her blast pistol into the music box, destroying it. She was demanding the attention of the room, and no doubt receiving it, with her heavily armed presence.

"And I don't like thieves. So, disrespectfully, I request an immediate audience with your leader. You foul, thievng, scumbag, desperate swines..." She pointed the pistol at one of the pigs, her men pointing rifles at the rest.

"So, will you do it? Or do I have to vaporise you and ask the next one?"

Re: The Garage Cantina- Hardcore Station RP

(It’s not totally lawless, there is two very powerful law forces on the moon, the corporation which owns it for the five trade federations, and the Municipal law. Slavery also is very much illegal. But in the slums many things are overlooked, so technically its illegal, but generally, down in the slums none care. Well most don’t care…)
Things seemed to have picked up rather fast. The shooting of the man right in the bar made her wince, even as the pig like beings all marched inside the pub taking up position. “Well this is getting dangerous…” She said.

“Boss there was a quantum fluctuation just now, in your location.” GENIE said. The A.I. had been running diagnosis programs the entire time through the blue skinned, pointy eared woman’s inner ear comm piece when she had picked it up.

“You sure? Of course you are… Any direction?” Xera asked.

Before she could get an answer she heard that extremely familiar, annoying voice… It was confirmed when the woman shot the music box, causing everyone to look towards her. Even the Stripper alien stopped dancing.

“Always have to make an entrance don’t you.” The Commando muttered.

“Don’t draw too much attention to yourself boss.. Even though the Senate has no power here, there are many who still may have a bone to pick with you over their actions… So please, be-“ before GENIE could finish Xera had turned around in her chair to look around.

A LOT of soldiers, and now Opticara herself. Swell.

“Really. You have to destroy the juke box… always craving attention…” she said aloud, sipping her beer as her cool, green eyes looked at Opticara. She’d not forgotten how the woman used her to clean up her mess… no not forgot at all.

((I would think in terms of the slums, people will tend to not try to draw much attention to themselves. Even though Sylux killed Kolamos, and everyone noticed, Sylux went up to the bartender, or barista is what I think they call female bartenders, and gave her some money to fix any damage the shock coil may have done to the bar, as well as to keep on her good side and not cause more trouble than was needed. Although, if Opticara's men and the pig aliens get in a firefight, you'd probably expect some security to drop in.))

((Also, quick question, is there going to be an order to this, or just post whenever?))

The Pig creature didn't notice the quantum action. In reality it did not care even if it had noticed. When the fight broke out, and Opticara arrived in the bar the creatures squealed and stood up, all of them.

“We don't answer to you.” The creature said to her. “You wanna meet the boss, get in line. Or you can do what others do, get on your knees!” It snorted as did several others, all begin to laugh.

“But you are not the only slaver in this galaxy meubare (!@#$ in their language). So don't think you come in here and threaten us like this. We are feared and will turn our look to you if you push it.” The pig she was talking to said.

“Now if you wish talk with boss. Ask correctly and I call boss.”

Meanwhile the one which was talking to Sylux meanwhile would nod to the creature. “We pay well... half up front. Half when you deliver her to us. Dead or alive it does not matter. Our boss is in the docks and he can authorize the transaction. Wait right here...” As he stood he noticed Opticara's men in the room and frowned deeply as it snorted. It would send a distress call out to their main carrier, hoping it would get through in time as he turned his back to Sylux... A moment later he turned back around and slid a communication device to him.

“Our boss wishes to know your fee. Type in here and we give details...”

Meanwhile the pig creature with a slave in tow also stood up. He'd try to slowly slip back into the back of the bar, into the private rooms to eventually sneak out. “Be quiet girl!” it whispered, yanking on the chain and pulling her on.

As everyone seemed to have all eyes on the new arrival. Emeraldas merely shook her head and continued to sip her liquor. She didn't bother to turn around and engage the loud, brash woman.

Not yet anyway.

The bartender meanwhile looked to Opticara. “I don't want any more trouble here.. you keep causing it and you'll bring eyes turned on this place no one wants. So calm down.” the six armed woman said.

(It isn;t “lawless”. Municipal Law still enforces the law, but they simply don't have as much of a presence down there, and if too much attention is brought to an area then yeah they come in. So its a good place for criminals because actively, they can operate sort of in the open as long as they don't cause too much of a ruckus)

The second Sylux's scanning hit Aaron, it detected the tech signature the Delano 7's AI had discovered. Though he had not met Aaron before, Aaron still had the standard issued communications piece from the Justice Tribunals. This would give Sylux a reason to see Aaron as hostile, as it had been the Tribunals that had driven him out of Earth after being dragged there from another universe.

He was prepared to stand up, but stopped when he saw Opticara's men enter, wth Opticara following closely behind. He immediately recognized her, but was surprised she did not immediately recognize him, considering he pretty much stood out with all of the glowing lights on his armor. Not to mention, he himself had attacked her prized vessel, taken out several of its fighters, killed a few dozen of her crew, vaporized her Avatar of Khaine, and blown a pretty big hole in her ship during their first encounter. He was almost certain she was there for him, until he noticed she was after the pig-headed aliens instead. However, Sylux wasn't going to take chances, as Opticara had been brash during their last encounter. Luckily for Aaron, Sylux was more concerned about Opticara than him.

Sylux turned to the pig alien. "One moment." He then turned and hailed the Delano 7's AI. "Delano 7, prepare weapons systems and charge the omega cannon, but do not fire until I command. Try not to draw attention."

Above them, the Delano 7's AI began getting its weapon systems online, and the omega cannon slowly retracted out of the bottom of the ship. "Weapons systems online, awaiting command." The ship AI told Sylux. "I should also mention, I am detecting another Artificial Intelligence in the vicinity."

"Is it "him"?" Sylux asked. "Negative." The ship AI replied. "I do not detect him anywhere in the station. If he was here, I would know about it."

Sylux took the communication device from the alien. "Details first, then we shall talk price. I can get whatever you require, but I must first know what I am getting sent into. You would be surprised how many of my past clients attempted to bargain with me for less than the job was worth, and let's just say in the end, each one of them regretted it when they wouldn't pay the actual amount. This is not a threat, it is a warning. I am sure you can understand. So, let's talk details on the target."

Nebula resisted the urge to sigh when Opticara burst in. And here he was being stealthy and everything. At least the ruckus wasn't his fault this time.

"How many music machines is that now, Blenny?" he asked the bartender conversationally.

"About... four since your last visit," she answered.

"Really?" he looked surprised. "That's a bit higher than usual, isn't it?"

"Eh, it's been busy."

Nebula chuckled his eyes following the slaver with the chained woman as he started to leave. A quick glance at the small screen on his wrist assured him that his device was working fine. Taking another drink, he kept himself at the ready in case the tension suddenly erupted into violence.

For a moment, Aaron's visored eyes had made contact with Sylux but it was an indirect exchange during his review of the crowd; never setting a stare for too long. All though Sylux had identified Aaron, given his worn technology, the teen-aged human was obviously at a disadvantage. Oblivious to the moment and not having any business with the Hogger Elite that was amassing inside the Garage (yet), he turned back to the Psion whom he had purchased time and knowledge from.

As promised, purchased and pre-arranged, the Psion Informant and criminal told Aaron what he asked for, even if not to the extent the Coalition Protectorate member desired. He had a hand around the wristcomp as he listened and then straightened when the informant seemed to be finished. What Aaron discerned from the purchased meeting, he would share with the Justice Tribunals and Storm Guardians later. The informant pointed to a time monitor and stood and Aaron nodded as there was no more point in purchasing more time. The informant then stepped out of the booth while Aaron adjusted the hood about his brow and plotted the shortest route to the exit.

Opticara knew the guards would come, and she knew that her men, if needed to, could overpower the guards. There were wracks and grotesques lurking nearby, and mandrakes had infested the vents, using their ethereal forms to avoid detection. Then she pulled the trigger, executing the pig on the spot.

Her weapon was simple, if inelegant. A short beam of dazzling blue light emerged from the barrel, and as it collided with his body, his atoms began to burn and turn to dust. Soon enough, he was a blackened pile of ash on the floor.

"That wasn't the answer I wanted. Now, I'll ask again, who is your leader, swines. Next person becomes a plaything for my men." She looked around the room, spotting Sylux, and Xera. She knew them both, and they knew her. They knew the weakspots of her men, and how their weapons worked.

"Get more guns trained on those two," She pointed at them in quick succession, narrowing her eyes. "They're not friendly."

She stalked over to Sylux, noting the proximity of the pig next to him. "Working with my enemies now? Did I really leave that much of an impression on you? I'm disappointed though... I could've used a man of your talents." She scoffed at him, before turning to Xera.

"As for you, commando, you have no jurisdiction here. In fact, you have no jurisdiction anywhere that I tread. Did you hear? I raided four planets belonging to your government last month. Your pathetic military put up almost no defence, it was astounding." She was goading someone into fighting. She wanted her men in a scrap and this was the best way to give it to them.

Xera frowned as once again, Ms Attention decided to bring notice to herself and to who she was. At the mention of being a “commando” she’d frown as more and more people glanced at her. It seemed like Opticara had caused more attention gathered on them than needed.

“Good thing I’m not on duty or I’d have to bust your ass.” She said, eyes narrowed at Opticara now. She’d look to the people with weapons trained on her and frown. “And get those guns out my face before you regret it.”

“Boss, I’m detecting numerous broadcasts out of the tavern for the authorities. It’s best you get out of there or you’ll not be able to find what you’re looking for…” GENIE said. “Right.. I’m leaving now.” She would walk towards Opticara and frown, pausing as she passed the woman. “I haven’t forgotten… We’ll settle our score when you’re not surrounded by your goons, “Princess.” She said and would try to leave out the front door.

“Find my informant stat. I need to get my information. NOW.”

The pig creature could feel that things were getting…Heated. Especially when Opticara’s troops put guns on him and she incinerated their comrade. “Wait.. Alright I will tell you. But you will regret it.” Another pig being said. He’d toss her a communication device, and there, a grand swine being would be sitting behind a table. This one was humongous and easily around 12 feet tall and 1500 lbs or so. It would be tearing into some unknown meat when the speech opened up for Opticara.

“What is it you want witch? My time is precious!” The creature said to her.

Meanwhile the other pig being would look to Sylus and slide him the information he requested.

“Her name is Queen Emeraldas. The Pirate queen. She is said to be as deadly as she is beautiful. She is known to control a mythical ship, called the Arcadia which comes from another galaxy. She is fierce and once dispatched an entire squadron of bounty hunters on her own. The rumors persist she is so good with a blaster that she can hit a pin prick from 10 of your miles away. She has long, brown hair and a scar on her left cheek. That is generally all we know about her…” On the view screen would be blurry or out of focus pictures of Emeraldas, and one picture of the Arcadia, the massive pirate flag ship which had the skull face on the front of it.

“Now I’m getting out of here!” It would then turn to leave quickly.

The creature with the slave would also make it to the room in the back. “begin to find me a way out of here slave!” it snorted and slapped her. There was an audible “Ahh!” from the alien woman but she did obey.. after all she had no choice.

Emeraldas meanwhile would exhale deeply as Opticara continued with her tirade. She would sip her beer again then stand up, her cloak still concealing her head as her lithe form would begin to walk through the bar. She had no time for this woman’s antics. She didn’t care who were around, she’d head towards the door, ignoring Opticara completely, as if she didn’t exist.

Even as she left one of the swines would signal for more help silently, slowly edging towards the door as well…
