Beware the Mists...

This is a carryover of an RP began in game. We will begin it again on the forums

Midnight, Metropolis University co-ed dorm…

A woman in a slick black business suit walks and stands in front of the building and smiles as she looks up at it.

“mmm Well. This will have to do. I do wish to apologize to you all for this. Messing with souls is messy business, and I take no pleasure in this work tonight but, sacrifices must be made.”

She raised her hands above her head and the eye behind her patch began to glow a soft green.. Suddenly two giant, ghost like skeletal hands appeared in the sky and forcefully parted the sky, revealing the moon light. As this happened a green mist like fog began to rise from the ground.

With a pointing of her hand she’d send the fog into the dorm as it enveloped the entire building. It spread through the hallways and dorm doors, enveloping people. They’d scream, falling to the ground and going into convulsions as their skin turned dark grey, their eyes began to sink inwards as they’d scream. Their hair would fall out in patches as a horrible, death like stench overtook the area.

The immediate effects were obvious; dozens of people in the dormitories were killed as their friends turned into the undead and attacked them relentlessly. They’d rip, tear, bite and claw at the people who were not turned. The screams for help echoed down the hallways as people would hide in their rooms, only for some of their bunk mates to turn on them.

Others would clog their doors and windows, keeping the strange, green mist outside as they sat in horror at the strange sounds coming from outside.

Now in the 10 story dorm, the lights flickered in the hallways as some rooms were torn to shreds and others in tact, walls were covered in blood as the half eaten bodies of the dorm members lay on the ground in shock from dying so..violently.

As this took place inside. Nesentra sat outside on a bench, looking up at the building and eating gummie bears.

“Hmm this has to be one of the better inventions humans made since I been sleep…” She said as she crossed a leg, watching her handy work.

“Kara, I’m TELLING you, there’s no way you’d be turned down!” Taylor said as she sat in her friend’s dorm. “You just have to be bold, ask her and see what happens.”

“Maybe if I had the body you have I’d be more confident, but as it stands, I’m just an otaku in love with a Japanese idol who happens to go to this school! UGH!” she said.

Taylor laughed and shook her head. She began to say something else but froze, eyes narrowing as she looked at the door.. The sounds of screams, followed by crazed, horrible sounding growls echoed through the dorm doors. Not only that, the wicked power made her shiver. She saw the mist roll in under the door and her eyes went wide as a soft, golden hue overtook her body.

“Quick put this on!” She tossed Karen a small pendant shaped like a tear drop. The girl put it in her ear and it glowed softly, creating the same golden hue around her right as the green mist rolled over her body.

“Taylor, what’s going on?!” She asked fearfully.

“I’m not sure.. but im going to check it out… when I leave out, push all your furniture against the door… don’t let anyone in but me alright?” She walked to the door and nodded to her friend, then stepped outside, closing the door quietly behind her.

“Oh crap…” She said, seeing the blood and guts on the walls, and people seemingly eating other people who were still alive on the floor… One of them looked up at her with bloodshot eyes and dark gray skin..

“A…Alison…?”

“RARRRRRRR~!” the girl screamed, then charged towards Karate Princess, who seemed.. .shocked.

“Alison! Stop! Please!!”

Even if Jaeger and Weaver could somehow miss the sight of giant, ethereal hands ripping a hole in the sky to unleash a plague of undeath upon Metropolis University, it would have been impossible for the Ysherian and the Void entity to ignore the sheer magical power being wielded on a planet where all things arcane were comparatively rare.

Jaeger's living armor blended in supernaturally well with the night sky. Weaver had an undeniable affinity for darkness and space. Their destination was...portal...gate...ritual...whatever the purpose of the hole opened in the sky by the skeletal hands. The mist was wafting up from the ground and he didn't need super or magical senses to detect the grisly carnage it caused below, but unless Nessentra had made no effort to conceal herself from he and Weaver, it seemed the swiftest way to end the magic at work here before it could spill over to the rest of Metropolis. Or raise even more undead to consume the students who were still alive and trapped in the dorms.

The creature would charge Taylor and attempt to bite her hard on the shoulder even as it alerted others with its scream. They were not especially smart, but they were quite powerful. Also now the creatures themselves would begin to fight one another…almost as if devouring each other for some strange reason.

If Taylor got away she’d notice the hallway she was in was dark save for a few flashing lights. Moans could be heard from the bottom floors as the green mist still roamed through the buildings. It would become apparent to her that no matter which floor she went on, there were undead there, some fighting amongst each other, and others feasting on people…

Meanwhile outside Nesentra would continue eating her gummies when she’d notice a…thing in the sky, messing with her spell. She casually looked up as the two giant, skeleton hads attempted to grab him and capture him even as sh e ignored him,

“It’s almost time… Just a bit longer..” she said, smirking and watching the mist do its job.

The girl charged her and for a moment she forgot the fear and planted her rear foot then slammed her fist forward into the creature’s chest. The pure shock from the strike sent a shock wave its body which would shiver and then fly backwards into a wall. The “heart” inside the cave being pulverized.

“What..how did this happen…” She said, peering at the mist rolling through the building. “It must have something to do with this… I need to find the source.” She would begin to move through the tattered hallways, her eyes sharp as they looked in all directions.

She would hear the moans of the dead echo through the building and it sent shivers through her spine. Every movement in the low lighting drew her eye, every scattering of a insect made her jump. She REALLY did not like Zombies.. especially the ones in here… They seemed fast and…she several fighting each other, as one would fall it’d be devoured by the others.

“What in the hell are they doing..?” she thought and pryed open the stairwell doors, attempting to head downwards. She had no idea Jaeger was there, but there was a chance he’d sense her strangely unique magical energies.

Jaeger attempted to dart between the fingers of one of the outstretched hands, Weaver's tendrils reaching behind him to snare the giant, boney digits. Ethereal as the hands looked, their attempt to seize him implied a physicality he could damage them through. If the maneuver succeeded, Weaver's tendrils would have pressed against the two fingers in opposite directions while Jaeger hacked and slashed the hand with his blade.

The familiar energy, the...chi, below was not lost upon Jaeger or his Void Entity partner, but it would take only a moment to see if they could end this crisis immediately with their plan. If not...then two heroes were definitely better than one.

Jaeger’s attack would find purchase as it slams into the giant, ethereal skeleton hands and would quickly disperse them. But the damage was done, the mist was now covering the entire building, which was enveloped in it and flowing into the windows.

Nesentra smirked as he destroyed the hands and she popped another gummi bear in her mouth. These were quite enjoyable!. She sat on her bench, watching the building with interest, waiting for her plan to come to fruition.

“hmm.. now the fighting should really begin..” she said.

Inside the building Karate would see the “Zombies”, having killed most of the other people were now fighting each other and those who were losing were devouring the losers, each time the winner would grow bigger and bigger, stronger, and more powerful. The moans would intensify as the zombies would begin kicking in doors now. If Jaeger and Karate were not quick, they’d begin killing the survivors.

((I would love to get some screen shots of you all, so I could make some 3D art of your battles in these RPs. I am currently trying to make characters for everyone in the game, so it takes time. But imagine how neat it would be to see action scenes with your characters?

If you would rather not though, I understand. But I would love to try. emoticon ))

Karate stood there, paralyzed with fear as she saw the rotting, foul corpses actually tearing into each other! They were devouring their own, and growing.. bigger? “What in the hell…” She whispered as she watched three of them roll around, tearing each other to pieces.

Once there was only one left standing she blinked as it turned towards her and roared, then ran after her. “Holy crap, oh crap!” she screamed, but stood her ground, planting her back foot firmly, and as it charged, she pivoted, it seeming to pass right by her in slow motion. Once its back was to her she slammed her elbow into its back and sent it flying into the staircase, where it tumbled several stories before hitting the bottom..

“Well that…went…well..” she saw dozens of yellow eyes now peering out of doorways.. zombies! They all took off now towards her. She was moving with a swiftness, feet and fists parrying and blocking as he pryed open the elevator door then slid down the wires, only to kick through the 3rd floor door as she saw a massive mouth flying up the elevator shaft.

“What is going on in here?!” She cried out as she saw.. at the very end of the hallway a woman rocking back and forth in the corner, moaning and crying in the darkness.

The hands were gone before they could...do whatever it was they were conjured for. Nothing immediately changed even once he and Weaver and ripped and drained them into nothingness.

Jaeger darted down into the building, smashing through whatever roof, wall, or undead barred his way. He and Weaver could sense Karate Princess's chi fleeing through the building, but first thing first. Two black swords were gripped in the Ysherian-born Human's hands as he sprinted through the hallways too quickly for most eyes to even perceive. They and Weaver's tendrils thrust and slashed through any undead they came across, prioritizing those trying to get at the remaining civilians or blocking escape routes.

They experimented a bit, testing to see if the zombies could function without brains or if wielding their storm of blades like a blender was the only way to destroy the monstrosities. Either way, as soon as those who had no hope of defending themselves were taken care of, Jaeger dashed for Karate Princess in turn.
