Re: Civil War
I'm fairly certain this is, in fact, defunct now...too bad, I like dividing the heroes and villains and shaking up the established battle lines.

Re: Civil War
Eh. It was rather poorly conceived and implemented to start with, and with the leader of the pseudo-event vanishing several months ago, it's safe to say this is pretty well dead at this point.

Re: Civil War
Bradley died of a heart attack. Penn was a failure as a senator. Now the original well meaning bill has been corrupted...... Now someone is pissed and they will make their return... Take his family away betray what he believes in people will pay... You take away everything from a man that is trained to be a nightmare. Not a good idea..

Don't sweat it. Someone else will come along and blatantly rip off Marvel soon enough.

Or even better, put a better spin off on it. Cause lets face it, there isn't an ORIGINAL story out there anymore. Everyone takes from somewhere.

Re: Civil War
Let's face it, this idea couldn't ever really work in the DC universe. People in DC just...like their heroes too much. If you want to do an event like this, you need to literally change the entire universe in which we play. Not just a single aspect-the entire population of the world has to do a complete change of personality. It just doesn't work out, when tried.

Trying to wouldn't be a new feat around here, just saying.

More on-topic, yes, this exactly. The entire reason for the mutant registration act, etc. was that people did not trust their "heroes". The general tone of DC seems vastly different.
--- You can't think that you're playing a villain, or you'll end up with a cartoon. You have to think about him as a person and a hero.

Re: Civil War
I'm pretty sure we could make such new division between heroes and villains through something different.
I guess I'll give it some thought and if I end up with something interesting I'll post it.
Still I would have loved this event as it would have meant Caligulaugh would have to chose between her mentor and her convictions.

This says many things.
