Re: Knock Knock Justice Tribunal, anyone home?

Adora would spend a few more seconds hacking up. Once she was done, he flushed the toilet. She heads over to the sink and wash her hands, then brush her teeth just to get the aweful taste out of mouth. She would exit the building back where everyone was holding her nose from the terrible odor from the stew.

Adora just looks at Lilly confused. "So how can you possibly fund everything exactly? This place isn't cheap to run, despite what our secretary says, we could use more funding. But as of right now, don't anything about you. How about you start by explaining who you are first, and why you want to fund the Justice Tribunal. Also what you can offer that we don't have yet."

She was still trying not to get sick from the rabbit stew odor. "I could get some milk and cookies or make coffee and sit down to discuss this first before we can give a real answer." She looks at the others "I dunno about the rest of you but I'm willing to sit down to hear her out."

It was like the world stopped... He could feel the crisp sugary glaze all over the inside of his mouth from the doughnut. But, for some reason, it seemed to not taste as good as it did a second ago... As his eyes widened, the doughnut fell to the ground with a thud then the entire floor would fill with the same sound Drake's voice at a high volume

"ADDIE COOKIES! NOW!"

Drake was sitting at the meeting table already with a plate and a large glass of milk in front of him.

"Whatever she has to say, I will listen! Bring me cookies! BRING THEM NOW, DAMNIT!"

Re: Knock Knock Justice Tribunal, anyone home?

These idiots have no clue…
She nodded to Adora and would follow her inside Justice Tribunal HQ. As she followed them she looked around through her sunglasses and nodded to herself before taking as seat.

“So, who am I? I’m Lilly Evans, daughter of Miranda Evans, fashion designer for the stars, and my father was an oil tycoon. You can google my name you’ll probably find lots of images of me on yachts and at parties, out with friends and the like. But those were my younger days when I was all about partying.” She said and would lay her tablet out on the table, showing “The Lilly Foundation”.

It was a image of a lilly flower surrounded by kids.

“These days I run the Lilly foundation, we are a not for profit that helps shelter homeless kids, orphans, and the destitute youth who are…special. Like you guys, but only these kids have no mentors, have no one to turn to, so instead of them using their gifts to take things and hurt people, we provide them with food, water, a place to live and education.” She said.

“Why Justice Tribunal? Well you guys, at one point stood for truth, justice, the American way. Kids looked up to the Tribunal, people around the world loved you guys, but something happened.” She sighed, showing the many bad PR stories, from Powergirl almost always being naked, losing clothes, to some of the more extreme things captured on film of some of their fights, to Jaeger.

“And now people don’t really…well like you guys as much, and to top it off the Tribunal has disbanded, I think the world is a worse off place without it.” She said and nodded.

“Which is where I come in.. My father left me a trust with several billion dollars in it. I want to do some good, other than my foundation. I want to rebuild, and rebrand the Tribunal. Make it more open to the public, more welcoming.” She would show slides now on her tablet of a completely remodeled Tribunal tower.

It was gleaming, made of glass and had the JT logo on the front. There were tours coming in and out, modern science labs, training facilities, as well as private areas for living arrangements and kitchens etc. IT was a completely modern, brand new facility which was 20 stories tall, had 8 sub levels, and was shaped like a giant square, with a lush courtyard in the middle of it.

“Beside it, will be Justice Tribunal- Teens. A smaller building where those powered youth you believe are ready to make a difference can come and learn in a safe environment, perhaps eventually graduating to the main team at some point.”

She’d show another slide, it would be of a beautiful park, with a statue of each of the core members of the Justice Tribunals, manicured bushes, lawns, a walkway and a fountain. “Even though Powergirl seems to be more solo, she still was a very…influential member of this team, so it’s only right for her to be there?” she added.

“This is my dream for you guys. To make the Justice Tribunal as big, as the Justice League. To make your names as well-known as Superman, to show the world that a group not compromised of Superman or the Flash can do real good. Also ,this will give all those powered kids in the world, a more attainable goal, a more attainable future.” She said.

“Which brings me to my next point… This will cost me about…1.6 billion dollars.. which is a sizable amount of money no doubt, not to mention I’ll pay everyone a salary, so you can dedicate yourself fully to your endeavors as a Justice Tribunal member. As for my role? I simply would like an office on the top floor, but I won’t take any role in leadership. I’m not a hero, I’ll let you guys do that.” She grinned, looking at those gathered.

“So what do you say? Questions? Comments?”

Meanwhile outside the tower, a man in all black armor was firing lasers backwards while flying forward, as he streaked by, people walking about JT tower would see Powergirl fly by, her hands out as she deflected the laser blast into the ground while in hot persuit.

“It’s Powergirl! After another villain! Think she going to call on her old JT friends?” people would shout as she was seen chasing him off into the distance, weaving between buildings.

Helicopter news crews of course would be trying to keep up, but failing miserably.

(A one off post is all lol)

Adora would return with some cookies and milk to sit down to listen to Lilly Evans speak about what she wants to do with the Justice Tribunal. Not ll of it sounds bad but there some thinks that irked her.

"Well um it sounds good but this isn't a business. We are heroes who face real danger. It's not glamorous!" She gets up and walk to a wall and points. "See these names? These are members I lost when fighting the Xree and it still bothers me knowing I was responsible for their lost. Now can you really handle that?"

She also sigh "PLus we are so close to Metropolis University, the last thing we need is get people's attention. I would rather try and keep it more of a secret, let people think we are not around any more. We would be more underground."

She paces back ad fourth "Far as the pr, it's hard to be perfect all the time, was their some bad decisions? Yes there was, could we done something better? Yes we can? But when you are out in battle, you have a split second to make a decision. Sometimes I wish I can go back and change that decision but I can't. All we can do is take it as a lesson and try not to make the same mistake again."

She sits back down "Far as training younger metas, I have no issues with that. I don't mind helping them learn their craft for they can control it. I don't mind helping orphans but bringing them to our base or have them hang around is not safe. We been subjects to attacks before and you will be putting their live at jeopardy." She would take a cookie and start eating it and sip her milk.

Drake glared at Addie as she put the cookie in her mouth. He would try to sneak his hand toward her plat but something would slap it away. She hadn't moved at all. "Stupid magiky people... Here's my deal. I really don't see a need to be renovated. The Tower as it is is more than sufficient. Even the Watchtower was small until the whole new supers thing happened."

"So, I guess what I'm saying is I don't think we need a remodel. The Justice Tribunal was flawed when I first joined. I will admit that. It's even more fractured now. But, it's a big puzzle." Addie would slap his hand away again and he would glare at her.. again... "And the whole point of a puzzle is to put it together yourself. If I just hand you all the pieces, then it's impossible for us to take pride in something we did nothing to obtain." Honestly, other than help with building a center to train younger heroes, I can't see a reason why we would need you... No offense."

"No offense taken.." she said.

She knew they would be a tough sell... heroes are a very insular bunch after all, but still... She needed this part of her plan to go off without a hitch.

"There's always a need." she said, showing a slide of when the Furies attacked and almost destroyed the Towers.

"This incident killed many civilians and resulted in massive damage to your structure. What I'm proposing will be able to keep the fighting inside the courtyard mostly, and the structure will be far, far stronger. It'll be able to survive such an onslaught again without the massive property damage and loss of life." She said to them.

"And also, there's the act of, if I am the site co-owner and brand manager, my insurance company can underwrite the damage you all cause in the course of your hero work. I've set aside a large amount of money to do just that. As for why be more bold? Simple. The same reason heroes wear bright, vibrant colors with giant symbols, you want the bad guys focused on you, not the people, well the new Tower will do just that, AND there will be a big enough "Buffer" zone between it and the rest of the city you won't have to worry about so much collateral damage."
