Human Defense League Information
The Human Defense League is an activist organisation formed in the wake of the destruction of Des Mounes. They aim to arm humans with advanced technology, which allows the user (known as Augmented), to fight, and kill metahumans and aliens, with the ultimate goal of leaving the earth inhabited solely by Augmented.
The group is funded by an unknown benefactor company, which invests money in nanotechnology and exosuits. The company seems to have unlimited resources, and is developing robotics on par with Braniac himself, although the question of how remains unanswered.
So far, the group has revealed 4 prototype technologies in a public press conference.
The first, is the APX-40 battle suit. Powered by something called a Partial Fusion Reactor, the suit can lift up to 80 tonnes, when all power is diverted. It is bulletproof, and has a electromagnetic shield which can block a tank shell, and will repel any thermal or electrical attack. The suit contains a V.I. Assistant, which provides tactical support, and allows the suit to operate semi-independently. When overcharged, the anti-electron beam cannon can punch through four feet of concrete, and the miniature jet propulsion vents allow for advanced battlefield movement.
The second, is Adaptive Nanite Technology. The nanites are injected into a host body, whereupon they form a unique wireless network, and tap into the nervous system. Through that, they can see external threats, and thus allow the other nanites to perform Augmentation. Augmentation is the process of supporting the adaption of the host body, which includes, but is not limited to, muscle reinforcement, reflex enhancement, dermal strengthening, thermal conductivity, optical camouflage, and glucose recycling. This allows the user to become as strong, as fast, as tough, or as hot or cold as necessary, granting the host superhuman combat capabilities.
Next, is the Accelerant Nanite. The Accelerant is a truly wonderful scientific advancement, and allows advanced regeneration of any kind of ailment, with the nanites adjusting to any health complications they are presented with. They have been placed in humans with terminal diseases, and are currently being studied as a cure for Alzheimer's, cancer, leukemia, and many other life threatening conditions.
Finally, is the Construct Nanite. These nanites are still in experimental trials as a universal
