History
As a child, Melonie was viciously attacked by her peers and her superiors. In high school her nick name was Melonie "'s lost her" Marbles. She wasn't crazy, she just fought back was all. Crazy of them to call her Crazy. She wasn't a nutcase. No they were the crazy ones.
Melonie Marbles cowered in her corner. The rain tapping lightly against the window of her apartment. Her fiancé was drunk, yet again. He was an angry, horrible man when he was drunk. "YOU SEE THIS?" He ripped the doll in half, its stuffing spilling out like white cotton entrails. "AND THIS?" He continued his little tirade for hours, completely demolishing her collection of Alice in Wonderland items that she'd started as a young girl. It was all she'd had left. All her life, men took everything away from her. Her father, her brothers, even her pastor for a time. She wouldn't have it any longer. She was tired of hiding in a corner while men did this to her. She sat there, staring at him as he destroyed her precious collection.
Finally, it happened. He grabbed the book. The book. Not the book... anything but the book. That was when it snapped into her mind. The only way to stop this madness. Her salvation lie there, jet black and blood red with a heart upon the blade. She eyed it for merely a second before crawling slowly toward the weapon like a lion to its prey. CHOP. All of her precious babies, the cards, the dolls, everything she'd spent her life upon had been either CUT open or SLASHed to pieces. She was only returning the favor. "What's mine is yours darling."
The blood splashed on her face, anointing her with the power she craved so dearly. He was long dead now, but she couldn't stop. Her giggling had only made her more giddy. The torn flesh, the lacerations, they all cried out to her for more. Who was she to deny their requests? The body was eventually rendered so horribly mangled and chopped that it'd be almost impossible to distinguish has a once-living human being, aside from the virtually untouched head. CHOP. CHOP. CHOP. CHOP.
She laughed as she held her dear beloved's head to her chest. Severed as it was, she couldn't move past the priceless Kodak look frozen in time upon his face. "You look so cute darling." She smiled. "It's too bad it had to end this way." She sighed and shook her head, gazing toward the heavens. "I always did love it when you smiled at me... please smile for me baby?" She looked longingly into his cold, unmoving gaze. "I said Smile for me!" her eyes flashed toward the dropped, undamaged book. The words "The Duchess" were highlighted in a red liquid. "Your Duchess commands it!" She giggled softly to herself. She was the queen of hearts, she was The Duchess.
She grinned, pulling an old leather bound book from under her bed. She'd been studying witchery for years, unbeknownst to her betrothed. Her fingers traced down the beautiful red shape of an upside-down star, encompassed only by a slightly larger circle. "Tsk. Awh, poor baby." She spoke, her lips now covered in her lover's blood. She placed a kiss on the first page, leaving the mouth-shaped stain bound onto the old yellowing page. "Mommy never forgot about you. No, shh shh shh... darling, it's time. The horrible black knight's head has been lobbed off. Now we can be together...my darling." Her skinny vanilla fingers, clawed by white nails which had hearts tamped upon them, traced the page.
Melonie grinned, grooming her hair and doing her face as if the blood were her makeup and nothing was wrong. "Tsk, dearie, you've made such ha mess." She looked over to the severed head, and then looked back at her own reflection smiling. "Ah well, a bit of love ought to fix your disposition, eh?" Her slight accent indicated that she wasn't natively from America, perhaps somewhere in England. She placed her lips against his own cold and dead ones. Turning back to the mirror again, she posed with the head. She was the winner of two Miss Metropolis pageants, Samuel deserved what he'd gotten for doing this to her.
She was above him, in fact she was above most people. He was nothing but a pig, just like the rest of the scuttling vermin outside of her little wonderland room. Pigs were beneath her, pigs were under her feet. "You know Samuel, you just gave me a proper idea." She nodded to him, making him nod back in response. "Mhm, I'll go find us some friends, and we can all have a grand tea party!" She moved his lips into a morbid surprised smile. She squealed in delight as she placed a large, slantingly odd top hat upon his head. "My, my dear, don't you look mad as a hatter?" She pinched his cold cheek, with a giggle. She changed into something more comfortable, and began to clean the mess.
She cut up the meat finely, washing it free of carpet or any other undesirables no normal person would want on their food. She placed most of it in zip locked bags, but saving a portion for Jack and Spade, her two dogs. She then stored her own portion of the man-steak in the freezer. She brushed her hands against each other in a Suzie-home-maker style. "Time to clean the rest I suppose." She smiled lightly and did just that.

Re: The Duchess
I like the character a lot, However I find it a little excessive for public rp. I'm pretty sure canibalism is mature content. Still like the character twisted and what a maniac she is.
