Re: The End of All You Know

It was times like this when she was quite pleased she was really like two people at once. Mentally she was able to watch the sudden images, thoughts, and memories that presented themselves. She took it all in from the digital code appearance and magical runes to the scenes from yesteryear and finally herself. The blaze of power that would result when she met her future gaze would have been quite phenomenal!

Then it was over and Myketra could only frown at what she had seen and now she let the words from Darius sink in. "Wha-- what are you... Talking about?" She managed to whisper. Her eyes were only their usual purple now. Glowing with power. She didn't seem to know. She didn't.

As the stream of data started it's rush for her she quickly severed her mental link with him and created a program within a program within a program and put it up as a shield. Eating the data as fast as it came in. An old protocol from an old trick. She gritted her teeth. "That's been tried on me before..."

While Darius was surrounded in blue she mimicked the idea with a wave of purple light and white ribbons of power. But her maneuvers didn't manifest visibly in the physical universe. Instead she was directing all nearby cellphone towers and other random satellites she could tap. Trying to jam his own signals instead.

"I am not the end of anything. But if you attack me I will be the end of you. What you saw... What you just showed me... Is incredible. But the future isn't set in stone. You don't even know me." She tried to reason.

Meanwhile, back out in the main part of the store Josh pulled out his own cell and started dialing the number given. "Yeah, I have my pal here at the hardware store who is having some serious malfunctions or something going on. Can you help him out?" He said as if he were calling the computer software store for customer service. He had that conservative tone to his voice which said, "Your product sucks right now."
