Kara caught the tenseness too and realized that at least one of them had good hearing. She decided to take the safe route and smile. "I am sure you all have done a lot. I would never question what children can do. I have seen a lot in my time on Earth. I am only concerned about bullets and thugs. But how about I try this instead."
She smiled at Superbkid. "I know a young Kryptonian that could talk to you about your powers, as they develop." She was not convinced he was a Kryptonian, but she didn't want to shatter his dream like that. So she went with the "white lie" for now.
"Her name is Kara Zor-El, though you would know her as Supergirl. She is a teenager, so a little older than you, but she is still learning to deal with her own powers. Would you like to meet her?" She smiled at him and then looked to Blackbird, as if to get the okay from the female of the group. Asking her "man" if it was okay for him to speak to a teenaged girl in a mini skirt and crop top, might not be okay.
"She could be here in a minute and she could help with this investigation too. But mainly, she can talk to you, Superbkid. So what do you think?"
Looking to Hawkman, she smiled more and nodded. She and him had been thru a lot together and she still blushed when she saw him. Their relationship would always be in a strange place, ever since their time on Thanagar's space station, and coming back home to find Shyera again. "So what do you want to do now, Hawk?"

Pizza box wide open. The aromatic assault on ones olfactory would be tested, with anchovy, onion, peppers and sausage toppings. Seemibgly oblivious to the happenings within the museum. Calvin the security guard on Duty paid little attention to his jobs detail. But burning his lips and chest, as the forced entry of Impaling Ice caused him to drop the pie slice into his lap with a jerked startle. Was hardhardly work compensatable?
"Hey! Whar the....? Who are you! Employees only, man!?" Said the security guard, of barely 25.
Hardly a man, and had only so much as helped his highschool basketball team make state championships one time, as any measure of merit.

Obscure, and spiny was tge way of shadow walking. Through annexed crawlspace, hallway, or rooms un attended. Held shady shadows of multiple capacity. Shadows and dark were the highway to move about, when one encapsulated dark form and travel. Shadow Thief, slipped ethereally away just in time. Though, he hadn't been the only thing afoul in the dark. A creature of vast corruption. A vaneer of evil lurked within the museum now. When the relic of the Gentleman Ghost was stolen. The scarab and scroll maintained a warming bane against a greater evil. One that contained and kept the damned within a prison of void. Both Thief, formerly known as Carl Sands and James "Gentleman Ghost" Craddock were tucked away, imprisoned in the Abyss. Bound by magic and trinkets to keep them there. But now, the lurker waits. It tastes The Nth in the air. The sweet blood of children. And the Essence life force of Kryptonian perfection. Things a beast of the Abyss would feast on.
Shadow Thief stops before making way out of the museum halls, far from the congregated kids and Heroes. Turnsoto nothing recognizably present.
"Ahh great Keeper...the deed was done then. Our arrangement fullfilled. The Gentleman and I both are grateful for your..." the shadowy Carl Sands felt a violrnt choking grip upon his throat. Tightening effortlessly with poltergeist -like presence.
"Forget not your debt. " the eerie and deep voice bellowed. Whispy inhuman tone. The Shadow Thief tried to flee using his shadow manipulations. But the entity seemed to encompass that darkness which Sands hoped to utilize? A
And then.....gone. Leaving Thief to his exit. Desheveled, he gathered himself. Unscathed...luckily this time.
As for Gentleman Ghost, he ...it...has yet to be seen?

Uncrossing his arms, Hawkman knelt down to level himself with the Children.
"Kar...Power Girl is right. " he said initially to Superb.
" It wouldn't hurt if you ALL spoke with ...Kara Zor-El. There's great Responsibilty, in wielding great power. And even greater stress with being a hero. Something that takes time. And its scary, for even us! Doing what we do..." he explained then lookinh to Power Girl on the last segment, before standing back up.
Walking to her:
" I think a great deal of thorough investigation. And...finding myself..." he paused in realization how it sounded. But hastefully played off his moment.
" a bit of better regard over these relics. The museum lost a great deal of property. And...I fear...they weren't stolen for money " But then, at that point...within his bones...as if feeling an acheing beckoning. The Nth Metal about him, that which radiated out and gave off a vibrational scan. An effect granted without warning, when within magical or ethereal presence.
"Things....may have just gotten...difficult?!" He monentarily struggled to relate.

As he kicked in the door, he was looking at the young security guard. His black trousers now have pizza sauce and cheese on them, as the slice fell to the ground. He could easily kill the guard but he doesn't want to get sloppy, or make a huge mess. He is going to act fast, in stead he would try and grab the security guard by the shirt and pull him in closer. If that was successful, he would just head but him attempted to knock him out.
If he was able to take out the security guard, he would head over to the equipment and would start freezing it up. He would also look for a video tape or what ever they use to keep the camera footage on and destroy it to make sure there is no video of him on camera. He doesn't want any evidence of his presence there. Once he is done there, he will have to find way out, with too many prying eyes in the museum, he doesn't have time to try and take them all out. If anything, he hopes the shadow man keeps them busy while he can make an escape!

Blackbird fixed her clothes, trying to look more presentable, but in reality, looked like a mess like the rest of the kids. When PowerGirl mentioned inviting another kryptonian teenager over, she looked angry, but turned away in a scoff, putting her make shift staff back on her back. "Tsh. Typical adults." She said under her breath.
Superb, with a cheesy smile, nodded. "That would be great! I can show her my powers. And maybe, we can be teammates!" He said, looking excited. "She is a very beautiful woman too. Maybe we will get married some day when we grow up." He crossed his arms and put his hand on his chin. He nodded. "Yup. I bet we would make a great couple when we are adults."
Kai shook his head with an eye roll. "If Zor-El wants to talk to Superb about his imaginary powers, let her. As for the rest of us, we are going to the cafeteria. We haven't eaten all day and I for one am starving." He said, his voice gruff but his smile actually sort of seemed happy, which was a first.
Flare's stomach growled and he groaned. "Oh man.... what a crappy situation. Super Girl is a total hotty, and I want to meet her so bad but... I'm so damn hungry.... Curse you, stomach!" He said as his bodily functions trumped his need to check out the in coming babe.
Eagle fixed his glasses and removed the wrap from his hand, all fixed, it would seem. He smiles at the mention of food. "Finally! I'm getting a huge cheeseburger... Can I, Kai?"
Kai sighed. "Let's... just see what we can afford there first." Kai, Eagle, Flare and Blackbird started to walk to the eatery, Kai opening up a ripped old wallet and counting what they had to buy food.

Easily, Impaling Ice made work of the security guards face. Headbutt smashing his conciousness. By the time, the electrical materials felt the fresh and uncanny frost biting upon its mechanics. Video feed and stored footage assuredly were ruined. (Alongside the views of shadow Thief and the actual....thief that took the relics)
However, upon the items he had taken. The warmth seemed to contract, and then expel. A slight glow heralded an essence.
"Well,......well, .....wellllll.....I must say, my good man. Such a fellow of your experise...neednt go through such extremis to cover your trail? A friendly Gentleman could Ghost you off of these silly contraptions!?" Said an eerie and ominous man's voice, behind Impaling. As if, he had come through a wall out of nowhere?
If heard, and turned to face the voice. One would see an apparition like man. Dressed in fine but antiquated clothing. (Civil war era/ wild west nobility)
No visible face, though the barely visible outline of a man of proper society. With particular monocle, hanging true. A spin of his holographic like dandy cane. A dressy effect, though curious still?
"You sir....need a friend.....and Old Jimmy here, being myself. Is just that guy!" It spoke again. As if an animation likened to an attraction of amusement park. A nearly transparent hovering man added a bit of chill to the room. That wasn't from Impaling's ice!

Carter still talking with Power Girl, swerved his attention to tge conversing children about.
"You won't pay a thing! That would be a horrible way to pay my detectives? No?" Hawkman asked. Mostly Kai, knowing the leader carried enough stubborn pride for the lot of them. Turning to Blackbird.
""I'm certain...that ...'' Carter leveled with THE raven honoring girl before him. But mused back to Peej.
" Our FRIEND...Supergirl would learn so much from you all...as well, as much as sh'ed offer."
Cater Hall was aman of vigilant honor. Todsy tested him, as well as the kot of the most courageous children he's ever met. Maybe, even by Power Girls opinion even.
He looked back to his long time team mate and friend.
"Kara...I'm feeling something. " he stood up. Got closer, as to hide the next bit from the kids.
"The nth....my...I can feel the aches ...there's a great power...here....now! We can't let it hurt these kids?" He plead with the
'WORLDS FINEST' Kryptonian Blonde.

Impaling smiled as the video feed was being destroyed, there goes any physical evidence that could put him at the scene. When he heard the voice and turns and looks at him. He noticed the glow and looks down towards his belt and try to cover with his hand but the glow could still be seen.
Seeing his old time clothes, he didn't exactly believe him. "What make you so sure you would do that? You know never can be so careful." he was still curious about the shadow man. "I do have friends bub but I'll bite, I'll see what you have to offer!

Kara nodded at Carter. "We will take care of them and we will find out what this shadow wants. If it is who you say it is, than we cannot be too careful." She tapped her comms, "ZX, patch me to Supergirl." >Oh I live to serve your Boobiness.< "Just do it." She sighed and looked at Carter. "Scoundrel's AI. What can I say." A moment later and Supergirl was on the comms, "Hey Peej, what's up?" Kara smiled and spoke, "Hey Supergirl. I need a favor. I need you to talk to some new kids about being heroes. And before you think this is a kindergarten trip, I mean that they are already being heroes and they are all from 9 - 12 I think. So can you come to the museum? I will send you the coordinates."
Kara answered, "Sure thing Peej. Be there as soon as I get coords." Power Girl looked at Hawkman. "Let me send the coords and.." There was a sonic boom and the place shook. Then slowly, the Girl of Steel descened on the area. Her skirt was hiked up all the way, as she landed, since she came down so fast. She then looked at everyone. "Oh hey." her skirt came down and then she smoothed it the rest of the way. "So, um... where are the little buggers?"

Before the gaggle of younglings left the room where all the commotion happened, Super Girl flew in. Flare turned around and blushed cutely when she landed as he frantically tried to straighten his hair.
Kai sighed heavily. This is why he insisted on keeping their existence a secret. It had worked for a few years now, and it was their best asset. But no... Superb Kid wanted to be world renown as a hero. "Look, we really don't need a pep talk from a teenage Kryptonian." He said and crossed his arms.
Eagle took a small, ever so slight half step behind Flare. He was quite a shy kid and the idea of yet another celebrity hero in the area made him even more nervous.
Blackbird rolled her eyes, and got down right mad when the skirt barely covered what it needed to. She put her raven like hood up, fixing it so only her chin and cheeks could be seen under it. She crossed her arms. She didn't trust Kryptonians at all. She turned and left the room with heavy steps.
Superb Kid smiled from ear to ear, his black hair in a curly mess on his head. He walked right over to Super Girl and reached a little hand to shake hers. "It's such a pleasure to meet you. You can call me Superb Kid. You are much prettier in person." He said and tried to pull off a charming smile, which just came off as goofy. (Like so many kids often do)

"Sands is like a cockroach. Creeps and steals where he can. And scurried from the light. The Shadow Thief is an instrument in this game. Craddock us somehow..." Hawkman explained to Power Girl. Until Super Girl made her entry. He turned to greet the Superteen. And then returned to Power Girl in conversation.
"The items are as good as gone. But...who was that you spoke with just before I came in here?" Hawkman asked her regarding I'm paling Ice. Keeping the facts between them. He knew she had probably felt awkward with him from the past. And so he looked at the kids interact with Supergirl. Though, it made him smile genuinely.

Craddock materialized beside Impaling Ice. With a wispy aire he continued:
"Yes...oh yes. You see, I've had some time to think things through. Through the ages. And I have had an ongoing ...tiff...with a fellow. He pokes his beak about, where one shouldn't. I'd be obliged to pay you, if you'd give the geezer a smash!?"
The faceless gentleman hovered about.

Impaling Ice attention was caught when h mentioned money and bashing someone. "You have my full attention now. Who's face you want me to smash? How much? If the price is right, I have no issue teaching this geezer a lesson." He waited for the answers to his question before deciding.
