Introduction to the Tribunal

This is a place for those that want to test out their role playing skills, before they RP in the game with the league.

Please note: You are not required to post here, and can still opt for a actual RP with me or one of the officers. But, if you prefer, and you will follow some basic guidelines, you can post your intro RP here.

Rules...

1. Power Girl is my In game character and anything you do here, could effect my RP. So be nice about it.

2. She is not going to give you money for joining (unless it is a contract and then you need to talk to me about it first)

3. She is not going to be your lover, long lost or otherwise. If you have an idea that might lead to possible romance (prior I mean) Then ask me about it, please.

4. No, she will not walk around naked for the Intro into the league.

5. You cannot kill her off or maim her or disfigure her. I will allow you to spar her and win, if that was part of your intro.

The point is, I allow a lot of leeway in the RP to do a lot of things. But this is still my character in the game. So if your goal is to be in the league, it is probably not a good idea to start off pissing off the leader of the league, right? emoticon

Now then, if you want to post your Intro, post it here. Have fun and see you in game!

- Power Girl

Re: Introduction to the Tribunal

Gabriel "Lance" Lindberg was referred to Powergirl and the Tribunal by the JLA as a training assistant for her new group. He'd been a particular curiosity of Braniac's after he'd received his exobit gifts and like many others had been stashed away in a harvester. He was discovered by Oracle, and broken free by Superman during a daring operation.

His powers make him particularly durable(and seasonally festive) and he is highly suited for taking punishment, to an extreme. Since he wasn't a particularly good crime-fighter(all defense, very little offense) he decided to volunteer as a sparring partner / training assistant.

Gabe is a volunteer, he still holds down a day job in construction, but with conditions being what they are his work is constantly being interrupted by clashes and opportunities to help the innocent and the struggling. He does his volunteer work at night, exposing himself to the strategies and tactics employed by established heroes in the hopes that one day he can be a legitimate member of the League.

His training also includes:

CPR / First Aid

Rigging heavy loads

Crane operation

Welding

Taking a pounding like no one's business.

We begin in Powergirl's office, an interview during a spare moment of her busy schedule. Gabe(Lance) is dressed in a suit that clearly looks like its making him uncomfortable. He is nervous. and Powergirl is looking between him and his resume/recommendations skeptically.

Gabe has answered her questions honestly, too honestly, she's been charitable enough to let him speak one last time before the interview was over. Would it be enough to sway her?

"I know that I don't have a flashy uniform, and a signature move. I know I don't have 5 years experience fighting crime, with famous villain collars adorning my records. Ms. Girl, I swear to you I am not trying to waste your time.

I didn't ask for these powers, I'm not even sure how I got them, and I still haven't figured out how to use them all...but there's a war going on out there on the streets. People are getting hurt. Its one thing to sit by and know you can't help, but its another thing to have these powers and not know how to help. I can't sit idly by.

This famous guy, please don't ask me his name, said something like:

The only thing that's needed for bad guys to win is that good guys do nothing.

I don't mean to sound pretentious, that's not me, I'm just Gabe. I work in construction. I like mashed potatoes. I listen to rock and roll. I try to do the right thing, even when it costs me.

Maybe I'm not at the level of your other guys, in fact I'm sure of it. I'm just asking you for a chance to help out. I don't need your money, I'm not here looking for love, I wanna learn from you and find a way to live with these powers that means something.

What do you say?"

Hawk Eyed.

Elevation was easily misjudged when flying by way of Nth metal property. Though the wing harness seemed to move naturally. It was chicanery brought on by particuliar arm and shoulder motions. The wings, when manipulated like such, helped position momentum in air and steering as well.
He had circled the location in Metropolis a bit before deciding to enter. Karen had urged him time and time again, to visit before he'd even agreed to join the team. But his elusive ways were second nature. Almost primally inherent. As were....these visions and memories. Tiimes that flooded his thoughts frequently. As if he had lived many lifetimes before. And recalled all and none at any given moment. It tortured him even.
Duty, honor and law had guided him. Through blood, sweat and tears. Due diligence would serve, and heavy handed gavel would declare. The helm he wore, likened an extraterrestrial birds head. Not just any man wore this battle standard. It Was a symbol of strength, and commanded respect.
Carter had studied ancient histories of lost and little known civilizations. He had always been drawn to various periods. Times he had felt akun to. Times of war and struggle. And with tragedy, love was nearby. Sometimes the fueling cause.
His heart eternally ached. A void empty to a craving loss. His lost half. He sought her endlessly. Foolishly even? Perhaps this team would draw his mystery to final conclusion?
Powergirl now leading what could be a modern reoutfitting of the Justice Society. Something he helped build before. Time goes in cycles. He had learned that much.
Carter knew history.
"Power Girl"...he'd say to himself, upon hearing an odd shift in the wind about him. Senses keener than an Earth born.
He'd smile inside, but rarely had in the surface.
"Its been a long while Karen?" He'd greet her kindly. As the pair flew, and talked over things regarding their business with theie team. He felt comfort in the famikiar aetting. Readying his heavy mace to help equalize whatever adversity stands in their way.

Jaded Target.

Oliver Jonas Queen has been many things in his life. Playboy tycoon, frivolously hedon, marooned survivor, celebrity hero, and media meat. All of which made, and buried this man's name.
Many years behind him . He gained scarred flesh, strong will, and wise eyes. One thing that had been a constant however...was his uncanny ability to suceed. He had EVEN in loss.
Targets were his bread and butter. Losing a fortune, then gaining it back was one of which, of those SUCESSES. His heart driven by selfish and selfless drive. He hadn't been practical. Ever. Nothing about his approach was orthodox. Wit, charm and cunning were his "utility belt" of tricks. At one time he wore and used the media cliche expected entrapments of super heroes.( Fake beards, dinky costumes and trick specialty gadgetry.)
Things change, and time wanes. As does a mortal man's outlook. Grizzled and beaten some. Less cliche, and acquired GRIM gloom.....

Metropolis had all of the Glamor that Star City, or Seattle didn't. Less natural setting. More smog ridden sunsets. Though these things worried Oliver little. He had been like that of a dimensionally displaced WARLORD. As if from a Mike Grell Dime novel of old. (Points if you get those referencesemoticon) One ever present fact had been that Oliver could outlast, outsmart, out live most anything set before him. He was a survivor. And most importantly....a hunter. Any means necessary. With aging lines and crows feet. This battle axe ( more appropriate:....Long Bow) still had a lot of fight in him. More focused, and driven than ever.
"Thanks Karen" he cherish to himself, while entering one Tribunal Tower.

Re: Introduction to the Tribunal

Cathinka had always the ability to make small 'loopholes' as she calls it. Portals on surfaces from one position to another.
They were way to small to be useful for anything else than getting a pen from one room to another so she didn't made a big deal of it. In fact she was prepared to live an ordinary life like everyone else after she finishes college.
Due to the distance she was living away from home alone with her cat when brainiacs troops attacked where she lived. With nowhere to run and her cat in her arms she created a loophole bigger than she ever did. It took everything she had and when it was big enough for her to pass through an energy blast hit her and hurls her to the portal.
After she woked up her cat was gone, her memories lost and her body changed. In the 'world between', the zone she passes when she jumps from one loophole to another, she merged with her cat due to the interference of the energy blast.
Since then she was able to create her loopholes at will and at a way larger scale than before.

Due to the cat in her she couldn't imagine to live a life like anyone else...going to work and to worry about bills. She was free and wants to stay free and the only truly free people she knew of were the superheroes.
It was just logical for her to become one herself and so she came to Justice Tribunal.

In the interview with Powergirl she tells her everything she remembers after waking up always assuring her that her height is no issue at all....probably a few times to often since Powergirl seemed to be slightly annoyed by it.

At the end of the interview she effordless creates a loophole in the ground, reaches through it, first with one of her arms then the head and finally with her whole upper body. When she comes back she has a tuna sandwich in her hand offering Powergirl half of it before eating all of it.

"Just call me Loophole!"

Re: Introduction to the Tribunal

My Name, is Arlyn Johansson, but most know me as Shadow Beast, while others call me a monster

unlike most of the new hero's of today I was born with my abilities, though I was given the power of nature my original shadow abilities were always there.

I descend from a long line of Meta Humans that most beings don't even know exist, I'm guessing though you have all heard of the tale of the werewolf??? ya......that was kind of my great great great grandfathers fault.

you see, my kind are able to shift our bodies into a form that looks like a werewolf, in this form all of our senses are heightened, our strength, speed, agility, expand to even rival super mans, oh and the claws and teeth come in handy too, they can practically cut through anything, also we have what most might call a sonic howl.

ever since evil has existed my ancestors have fought it, not sure why, its instinct I suppose, a craving to destroy evil in a way. think of it like when your really thirsty and have not had a drink for days and its 113 degrees, then you see a jug of ice cold water, the craving is much like that, I just call it the black rage

for example you know how Hitler committed suicide......he didn't. my father was the one that destroyed the fort and everyone in it, and it was his fist that punched a hole through Hitler's Scull, not a bullet.

my kind are hunters, and I almost feel bad to those who we target......well not really, they usually deserve it. Now the only thing that annoys me about being a Shadow Stalker is the hair growth, even after just one day of shaving I have a beard that would make a timber jack jealous, and I'm only 18.

now your probably thinking, how the heck are you only 18 when your father was in the war during WWII, ya well, our life cycles tend to be much longer than normal people. oh and another thing that annoys me is the sun burns. ill be in the sun for like a half our and I swear I'm redder than a tomato. its sure a good thing I can bend shadow or else I wouldn't survive a day at the beach

for years already I've been fighting the forces of, but now I think finding a pack to fight with will allow my new found powers to flourish, its time for my blood line to stop waging our war against evil from the shadows and step into the light....even as annoying as that is....I grow tired of being a lone Wolf, and it sure would help me sleep at night knowing someone had my back.
