Rise of Humanity, Part 1: The Gathering.

Image

A figure rose on all televisions across Gotham, a shady figure killing the local GCPD Officers on camera before calling Citizens to rise up against their "oppressors". Heroes and Villains were both put in danger as his example was a swarm of his "gifted" washing over a small group of Exobyte Supers. These gifted tore apart the Heroes and Villains remorselessly before breaking apart in time to avoid trouble with organized forces.

It wasn't long after that Gotham General was assaulted by the same gifted, the grey-skinned civilians charged into the Hospital, killing the people inside- though their progress was cut off by the arrival of two Heroes. They located the source, a Necromancer standing outside GGH. After a brief confrontation, the Necromancer took off, leaving a brief message with the Heroes that something was coming for Humanity, and the Supers. During the confrontation, the Necromancer summoned seemingly Venom-Filled Undead to combat one of the heroes, as well as control a swarm of 'gifted' and use of powerful Sorcery including summoning and entrapment runes.

Since the message, clusters of the grey-skinned gifted have been located around Gotham, though they can't infect others, after doing their damage they are either defeated or simply disperse. Heroes have attempted to subdue the gifted, but they show very few signs of humanity and cannot be cured, so most are put down. These Gifted are incapable of feeling pain, they show trace humanity, and can think on a minorly complex level, enablign them to use objects from around the street- fortunately these gifted are all normal civilians, no super-powered gifted has been seen. In addition there have also been sightings of odd crimson and violet runes around Gotham- mostly along the waterfront.

This looks fun, but tell me... was this an event or a newscast? I mean did it already happen and you are posting what happened already, or is this a prelude to a future event?

This section is for all out events that will take place. It is used for settingup the scene(s) and to give dates for when and who.

The newscast is to post snippets of things that have already past. It allows the whole community a chance to see if Superman statue was destroyed or Lexcorp is on fire, or whatever has happened in our little universe. This way we can all RP on the same page.

Erm, it's technically in the past. I wasn't too sure of how the settup went. All these events have already been RP'd out- so I suppose that means it's News instaed of Events. All-in-all, this RP is designed to lead up to something bigger/it's meant to be an extended RP event, which is why I posted it here.
