Re: Welcome to Platinum Heights High! (completely open RP)

She would definitely receive no challenge from Nettles. The plant-girl couldn't argue that the sky was blue to a blind man, so she certainly wasn't going to debate fate and destiny with an apparent goddess.

Sure, in her rare gatherings with other heroes she'd met those who claimed to be demigods or avatars of gods or other such things. But the feeling of insignificance never went away.

Then again, that feeling kind of stuck with her in general. Being a weed for the majority of your life could do that to you.

"Well anyway, I'm glad it happened, whatever it is," Nettles laughed, managing to keep MOST of her nervousness out of it. "I'll take a happy coincidence any day. What's the saying? 'Don't look a gift horse in the mouth'?"

Her expression briefly turned quizzical.

"Never did understand that saying," she murmured half to herself.

Her insane grin though it didn't seem possible got bigger still, as tears began to well up in her eyes. CC placed her hands over her mouth as a muffled squeee escaped. She looked at each one of her friends for a moment. "I can't believe this is happening. Do you all think this is how like; the Justice Society did it? "
She took a quick breath. "Okay; like; I have had some opportunities like this before but with school commitments i couldn't do what was needed, but since we are all in the same sitch we can like; totes make this work." She looked around the ice-cream parlor. "Well I think our first order of business is we need to find some place safer to like have our get-togethers. Anyone know a good place we can like meet to like discuss all this stuff more privately?"

Tsukiko slipped her phone back into her pocket and folded her arms on the table. She leaned forward a little, "The safest place I know is my room. I do all my scrying and research... and homework there. It is embarrassing admit that it's in a LexCorp penthouse. We never had such a... decadent? home back in Kyoto. Luther-sama insisted when my parents were transferred."

The fact that CC had apparently been talking about teaming up had flown completely over Nettles' head until just now. She was suddenly nervous again, her anxiety bringing up all the worst case scenarios it could.

She'd never asked Superman about teams. Were they allowed to just make up their own? Was there paperwork that needed to be filled out? The vague idea of being 'in trouble' often worried her like this.

Taking a breath, she reminded herself that she was probably just overreacting as usual.

"That's probably a better idea than my place," she said. "It's nice, but it doesn't have much useful stuff. Mainly just... y'know... plants."

She shrugged, giving an amused chuckle.

CC beamed at Tsukiko "Well if you say its safe, I'm all for it. So we have a place, then all we need is a name, but that can come later. This is so like , awesome. Then after that we need to start training together, learn more about what each other can do." she squead
"I can't believe that we all go to the same school too." At that statement she paused and then looked at her phone. "Oh crap, i need to get to the library i have a report due tomorrow that i didn't even start yet, and the teacher wanted us to use at least two references from an actual library."
She began to collect her bag. "I will see you all in class tomorrow?"

Tsukiko smiled brightly, "Yes! It does sound... awesome! And I'm so sorry to keep any of you from your studies." She bowed mostly her head since she was sitting, "It is impolite of me to cut in on study time. But thank you! And..."

A more cautious expression crossed her face, even lowering her voice to a near whisper, "Could we tell my parents it is just a study group. They do not know. I have tried to tell my mom, but she never remembers it, and my father would be terribly disappointed in anything that distracts from my studies."

Nettles nodded to the others' farewells. She wouldn't really see them in class since she was in the 'special' group, but she knew CC wasn't being literal.

"Well, if you have trouble finding me, just give me a call," she said, giving them her number. Waving to the man behind the counter, Nettles took her flip-flops off in preparation for going outside.
