While staying at the Walkers place a Meta-human on the run came tearing through and he apprehended the meta as justice league members arrived in pursuit. They were impressed and suggested he used the bounty for the villain to repair the Walkers farm.

With this fresh in his mind and realizing he could fund himself, pursue his quest, and help others he became a bounty hunter and headed east towards Gotham.

Re: The Warhound

Origin story:

Warhound was born under a different name, and once had a different life.

In that life he was a Special Forces heavy weapons specialist. That life was a happy one for him, he had a girlfriend and a job he was good at. His rise from Army Ranger to C.B.I. liaison officer was a sign of how good he had become. It all changed when he was co-opted by the Grey Rayzors for an op near Kahndaq, the op was fairly standard seek and destroy and went well until the fighting drew the attention of Black Adam. That was the day he died.

His next memory is one of extreme pain, disorientation, and sensations overwhelming mind so bizarre he does not know if he is waking or dreaming. There are flashes of bright lights, doctors, sharp tools and painful drills. Dreams of blood, hunting, forests, prey, and death. In all his dreams there is the screaming, sometimes loud and shrill of a man's body breaking, sometimes that of a large beast in pain and seeking death, but always the screaming.

At some time during his dreams he realizes the screams are his. At once he opens his eyes and sees men in strange uniforms and men in lab coats all talking about him. In a rage that they made him scream, full of righteous fury at the pain they inflicted on him so casually he shatters the bonds holding him down. Then screams again as his rage overtakes him and a bloody red haze covers his eyes and all that he sees. In a burst of speed and rage he shatters the clear barrier separating him from his tormentors. The screams get louder now as he feels the satisfying thrill of his claws parting flesh, the wonderful gush of hot blood in his so very parched throat as his fangs rip and tear his prey's flesh.

Soon he was free of the place of stone and metal, free but lost in his own mind. Running for the sheer joy of feeling the wind in his face as the landscape darts past him at amazing speeds. He runs till he tops the peak of a forested mountain and howls at the fierce joy he feels in his limbs and heart.

"This is not your path."

He jumps at the sound of a mans voice where none should be, his hackles rise and his fangs are bared in a snarl at the appearance of four beings, 3 men and a large wolf.

"This path you run is not for you, your destiny is harsher and grander than that of a wild beast" says the large gray bearded man with an eye patch. "This was not supposed to be how he awoke father" The large wolf says to the red headed man who wore an amused smirk on his face. "Yes if we do not fix this he will not have the wits to fulfill his purpose, unless you want him to fetch your paper for you" he laughs at the other two men. "Hear me wolf, you are more than a beast, and more than a man. In this place and time you will be marked with a sign of your destiny. Your old life has ended, but your new life begins now." As he says this the man with the braided beard raises his large but short handled hammer into the air, a great searingly bright sword of lightning flies from the heavens to strike down the feral wolf-man.

In the bright blaze of white blue lightning he hears. "Awake Thorgar for that is now who you are. seek your path and your destiny, I grant you two signs to aid your quest." A blazing circle quartered by a cross appears "This is the Warriors Wheel, the start of your long journey, warrior of Midgard."

Thorgar awakes with a loud groan, smoking in a crater on the top of a mountain. "Woah.... last time I drink a bottle of five-star Ouzo before a D&D game again." Looks down at his smoking nude form, with a circle quartered by a cross burned on the back his left hand, and burned scar in the shape of a wolf head on his chest. "Oh hell....." His memories start to flood back into his mind of his old life, his new life, and the quest he now has. He screams in loss and rage at what has happened and slams his fist down into the stone before him shattering it with ease.

He can feel the wolf inside him, part of his soul, and forever wanting to run free. His new senses allow him to know what all is about him from scent and sound. Thorgar looks down at his human form and smirks "Well at least I still look human." He reaches out to that wolf in him and he can feel his body start to shift getting larger as he changes into a large bipedal wolf, with a struggle he shifts back to his human form. "Ok... ok... I'm a werewolf.....” He ponders for a moment then smirks “Well that takes care of hunting and warmth since I'm butt naked. Wonder if fleas will be a problem now?"

He looks up to the sky and yells out in a booming voice that echoes for miles. "What am I supposed to do!?" After some time he sighs and starts to walk back down the mountain trying to come up with a plan of survival. His instincts and training never once letting him think of quitting. "Man, these guys are worse than the government when it comes to giving out intel." Thorgar shakes his head and laughs, descending the mountain, passing from his old life into a new one.
